Question about Computers & Internet

Trying to find the name of a video card by it's serial number, which is 260639003824, can anyone find out how to find out what drivers need to be found to run this video card? Cannot find the name of the video card on it, is there any way to find out what type of card it is, it is being used for dual monitors, can see both monitors up, but unable to change the settings to only use one monitor at a time after bringing up the computer. The control panel settings is only providing one monitor, vice two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

8189E1UKCAV0Y1 how i can find this serial number driver

Try searching the manufacture's site by using the model name and number of the device rather than the serial number you have listed.
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en

It is an excellent idea to get your drivers from the manufacture's site.

OR, You could download "slimdrivers" run it. It should find and allow you to update drivers for your computer. Slimdrivers is freeware. However, I would be doing backups of my current drivers on an external drive before I would replace a driver. (You might try "Double Driver" for backing up the drivers. It is also freeware. (And I would certainly be setting system restore point prior to a driver update.)

Do not be surprised if there are a lot of drivers listed as it is likely to find drivers for everything from your graphics card to your printer. The point is, that serial number means something to Lenovo but not much to anyone else, even so far as identifying if you are running Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. The OS might impact which driver you need.

Where do I find the serial number for my Sapphire HD 6790

Hello, I am the technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.

Welcome to Fixya, Ross Kennemore.

The serial number may be located in many places, here are a few of the usuall locations.

1.) The serial number can be found on a little sticker pasted to the out-side of your graphics card box. The abbreviation S/N is often used, it stands for Serial Number.

2.) Similarly a corresponding number is usually also placed on the graphics card itself. Usually it is placed on the flat most side of your graphics card, ie: the side without the heatsink cooler. Again look for S/N.

3.) Some-times the store that you purchased the graphics card from includes the serial number on their Invoice/Receipt that you receive with your graphics card.

Take care!

What do you have to do if you try to play a game and it says unsoported video card

Heya

There could be a couple of possibilities.

The game your trying to play is a high end game and the video card might be out of date so would request you to check the system requirements of the game and then compare it with the video card your using.

Secondly, you have a capable video card but the drivers might be corrupted. This you can fix by downloading the correct drivers. For example- NVIDIA CARD needs Nvidia Driver and ati radeon card needs Omega drivers.

If you need more clarification then would request to reply me with the full name of the game and also the model number of the video card and the manufacturer which you can check by Right clicking on MY COMPUTER>>PROPERTIES

Thanks & Regards

The seriel number provided on disk sleeve will not work.

The installation program for the WINDVR 3 program isn't looking for the serial number of the TV Tuner card. It's needing your registration serial number when you paid for the software. I found a serial number that worked for me (after looking for 4 hours!!). Just enter this serial number and it should work for you. Be sure and put something down for your company name, also. Here is the serial:

Just installed new tv card and i keep getting "incorrect seriel number. I typed it just as it appears on the driver dic sleeve. what now?

Be sure to NOT have any "leading" nor "trailing" blanks.

Don't confuse "EYE" and "ONE", or "ESS" and "FIVE", or "BEE" and "EIGHT", or "ZERO" and "OH".

Pc display

This maybe due to lack of Video Card/Monitor drivers or the resolution is set to a small size. You will have to find out which video card you have, and if you have an LCD sometimes they come with drivers (Samsung LCDs have drivers). To find out what video card you have, you can usually go off the model name and number of your computer and get the drivers from your manufacturer's website. If it is a home built computer, you will have to look at the card/motherboard model and serial numbers to figure out the video card they use. Normally XP has a default video driver and it should not do a miniature resolution, but it happens sometimes.
