Unit hums when turned on no fan

Switched on wall thermstat to cool, unit hums. Flipped fan to hi and changed power from auto to on and unit with fan turns on and starts to cool but turns off after about 15 seconds. Tried this a few times and gave up before I burned something out.

,Hi,the problem is from the thermostat or the relay fuse, one of them is malfunctioning, seems they are weak and needs a replacement,i will suggest you contact an AC technician to do the replacement,so you don't end up blowing the whole unit as a result of bad connection.

Thanks and good luck

Fan wont run on auto

Make sure your tstat is programmed for electric, not gas. Or in the settings you want that the TSTAT CONTROLS THE FAN.

Circulating fan is running continuously.

indicates that either the fan setting is on FAN or there is a error code stored in the circuit board. Look for a blinking light through a small viewing port in the front panel door.

if you are getting power to the gas valve, then all of the safety switches should be closed. if you have any drain lines off of the inducer fan and at the bottom of the heat exchanger, make sure they have a trap and have water in them. the pressure switch may be the culprit.

Unit will run if the thermostat is switch on ON, but if left on AUTO unit will hum and won't run.

For most Thermostats on and auto is for the fan switch function. There s usually another button for heat off cool. When you turn a\c or heat on , the fan switch should be on auto.

Bought a used Martin Logan Dynamo subwoofer a couple days ago and have a very loud hum when the ac cord is plugged in, even if the speaker is not connected to an audio source. The "hum" can be heard in any...

Neither the amp or the sub have grounded power cords.

I have discovered the ML Dynamo takes about 30 minutes to switch to standby in auto mode.

With speaker level inputs connected to the Onkyo A807 amp, both units powered from the same wall outlet, Dynamo sub on Auto, the sub hums for about half an hour after the Onkyo is switched off, then the sub goes quiet. Not so good.

I connected a bonding wire between the two units on 3_7_09. If I smoked some old audio gear I could just look at that as an opportunity, right?

Works fine. Now I have the ML powered from the wall and working normally.

Heat doesn't work on ac

You need to check if the heat strip is still good on it or that it is receiving power. If its getting power, then the strip is bad.
