SOURCE: How to pack an open cockpit kayak

Your main considerations are waterproofing everything. Bags within bags is the order of the day so to speak. Travel light and justify everything you pack for it's usefulness. Pack things you will need during the day closest to the access hatches / cockpit, with other items packed deeper in the bowels of the craft.

Check the trim of the boat once packed. Look at it from the side as it is floating. It should be ever so slightly stern heavy. If it is bow heavy it will be very difficult to steer.

The foam has came out was wanting to know were it fits back in

The foam is usually glued in the bow or the stern take a look in both areas and see if its missing. You'll have to use some good waterproof glue to put back in place.

I am getting lots of water in my tandom outfitter kayak . one hour trip produced about 3 gallons of water. how can we fix this problem leak?

Probably a crack in a seam rather than an obvious hole in the bottom. Empty the contents and submerge in water. Or conversely, fill up the kayak with water and make note of the leaks. Food coloring in the water may help to identify the area.

Fiberglass repair kits are available at the hardware store for minimal cost.

Paddle end came off. What glue is best for gluing it back on? Silicone glue sounds good to me.

To withstand the forces, a better product to use is Sikaflex - this is a polurethane glue

Does anyone make a rudder kit for the pungo 140?

Rudder systems on sit-on-top kayaks are not practical, but if one is made, it is made by the manufacturer of the kayak in question. I don't think there is....only the Hobie and a few others.

Pad the trailer upright and don't worry about the damage to the kayak if it hasn't worn a hole.

Kayak drift hard left.

you will probably find that you are not sitting in the centre of the seat in the kayak, the small amount of added weight on one side of the kayak will tend to make it turn to that side when your not paddling, or the seat in the kayak if it is a movable seat may not be square in the kayak
