You have probably disabled cookies. Add the email provider's website as a "trusted" website.
In Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Sites Enter the URL of the site, and then click the "Allow" button.

I can not get yahoo home page to open. Have switched to Google for now. Can not even access my e-mail site from google. Is the site having problems?

No. Yahoo Mail, Google or Gmail are accessible here in our end.

Try to access Yahoo Mail in different internet browser (e.g. Firefox, Opera). If the Yahoo page loads up, then the problem has something to do with the current browser that you are using. You may clear the cookies and cache of your browser and see if that will work. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer:

1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your e-mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details.
4. Check browsing & download history, form & search history, cookies, cache.
5. Click "Clear Now" button.
6. Close and re-open Firefox.
7. Access your e-mail.

* For Safari:

1. Open the Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) and select "Empty Cache".
3. When asked "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?", click "Empty".
4. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) then go to "Preferences".
5. From the security dialog box, click "Bookmarks".
6. Click on "Show Cookies" button and then hit "Remove All" button.
7. Select "Done".
8. Access your email.

Thank you and good luck!

Hell Ma'am,
Try to clear the cookies and cache files, to do this You need to follow the instructions given below:

(If you are Using Internet Explorer)

Click "Tools" in the Internet Explorer task bar.
Click "Folder Options".
Click "Delete Cookies" and Press "Ok".
Click "Delete Files" and Press "OK".

Restart you PC and check your yahoo Inbox and attachments...

If the problems still persists, try some other Browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.(They are Fast and relatively less buggy as compared to Microsoft Internet Explorer)

I cannot get into my yahoo email account

That sounds to me like a problem with your cookies. It is quite possible they are disabled.

To enable in Internet Explorer 8:

To enable cookies:
  1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Internet Options, and then click the Privacy tab.
  2. Move the slider down to Enable All Cookies. On this setting, websites will be able to store cookies on your computer.
Note: Blocking all cookies might prevent you from accessing many websites. The next two Internet Explorer privacy levels, High and Medium High, may be more suitable. In addition, it is possible to block a cookie for a specific site by clicking the Sites button on the Privacy tab. Please see Internet Explorer Help for more information.

To be honest, I also prefer G-mail over Yahoo mail. I've used them both in the past, G-mail is more efficient at sending spam to my junk mail folder rather then putting it in my Inbox. As well as allowing me to have certain emails based on keywords go to pre-specified folders. Such as, I can have it filter any e-mails with "FixYa" in their name to a folder called "FixYa" that way they don't fill my inbox and I still see that I haven't read a message from them.

If this is not your problem, or you do not use Internet Explorer, please leave a comment and I will attempt to assist you further.
