Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

In short yes it will need plumbed with a smaller drain line to the home waste drain.

The unit uses a fast-rotating blade to reduce waste and toilet paper in the flush water, which is immediately and entirely released under pressure through "small-diameter piping" to the sewer or septic tank. No special maintenance is needed and the pump is sealed for life. This simple and cost-effective alternative to conventional plumbing is ideal for basement renovations and other home-improvement projects. Properly sized, a Saniflo macerating system can handle all the fixtures in a bathroom, including the sink, shower, tub and toilet & endash; even on a septic system. What's more, these fixtures will work up to 12 feet below and as far as 150 feet away from a septic tank or sewer line.

Go to this page and download the manual for the installation instructions:

Got a blockage in your out pipe, could be a rag or a big tur. You need to snake out the main drain going out of your house.

High pitched sound in house

Saniflow units are completely silent, except when actually pumping. It's worth noting that because they are electrically operated they will not work if you have a power cut - so don't use toilets or anything else attached to them if there's no power or you'll be in big trouble!
Another point about the Saniflows... it may be neat to put them behind tiles, but they will require regular access for servicing so it's not really practical. I advise covering them with a panel that can be quickly and simply removed, if you must cover them with anything, that is.
With regard to the noise (and I ask this in all seriousness), does anyone else hear it? Although you've tried turning off the water at the mains, it's still possible for noise to be transmitted along water pipes from elsewhere (as can be caused by leaks, for example, which can be quite high-pitched).
Apart from that, thought turn to possible insect infestation - bees, wasps or other things depending where in the world you are! Maybe you also need to consider when it started and whether you can connect other changes in your house with that time. Also, is it continuous or intermittent? If intermittent, is there anything else that happens at the same time?
If you find a cause, please do post a reply, as I'm fascinated to know what this is! If you need more help, please post your question again and I'll leave it for someone else to have a go at.
Good luck!

MANSFIELD TOILET KEEP LEAKING

I'm not exactly sure where the seals are that you are describing. I'm thinking that you might need to shut the water off, unbolt the toilet from the floor, and replace the big wax toilet gasket underneath.

That's the main seal for internal plumbing in the toilet, unless you're talking about the toilet leaking into itself and wasting water. In that case you might need to simply adjust the mechanism (float, flapper valve etc.) to get the right setup.

I'm not sure I completely understand your problem though.
I hope this has helped anyway.

My daughter flushed he winter hat down the toilet. How do i get it out?

Kids eh?

.. I had my son flush LOTS of wipes down ours ...

*** STEP 1 ... DISCONNECT THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY!!!! ***

You'll need to drain the main toilet bowl of water and remove the toilet bowl away from the sanoflo. This may require that you also empty the cistern and stop the water from entering it (do you have an inline valve to the cistern supply pipe?)

When you have emptied the water and removed the toilet bowl there should be a large Jubilee clip attaching the saniflow to the WC waste outlet. Loosten this and remove it so you can see into the saniflo where the WC waste goes.

You should be able to see the object and reach it with your hands. I would suggest wearing some rubber gloves to protect your hands from getting gunk in cuts etc.

If you cannot get to the object, you'll need to empty out the other pipes to the Saniflo and remove the unit. When you have done this you'll need a star driver to open up the unit and get to the object inside. I would suggest that since most of the saniflo range have an internal grille to stop objects such as this actually hitting the macerator that you should be able to reach it just by disconnecting the WC waste connection

If this helps please leave feedback

How can you tell if the waste pipe is blocked on a saniflow toile

Yes the bowl will be slow to empty. Try squeezing the white discharge hose as the unit operates, if there is a blockage then this hose will be hard to squeeze. If hose is soft then blockage could be in the toilet pan U-bend in which case fill bowl with very hot water and leave to soften the toilet paper.
