This should fix your problem. Even w/o your installation disk. I have used this program to fix Pc's I have picked up off the side of the road. I would hit the power button, it would show the BIOS then it would stop and shutdown. This fixed 99% of them I have picked up.
using a torrent program ie (utorrent,
shareaza, etc) download SPINRITE.exe.
Burn this on a disk, the program
is written with freedos included, but this will not work with 100% of laptops.
if the program stops and shows you a red screen with an error,
use a program such as PowerISO to burn the disk and make it a bootable
after burning the program to disk-
- insert disk and reboot
- press any key to boot from cd if asked
- when you see Prompt, change to your default cd drive.
- type SPINRITE to start program
- use recovery option 5
this may take a few hours or a few days depending on the condition of the HDD.
I have used this program to fix computers
I've picked up on the side of the road. I would power it on, start to
load then go into a loop. after running this program overnight I was
able to reboot (after removing disk) and the pc started right up.
Make sure you run a program like Ccleaner (you can get at www.fileippo.com) to clean your registry
and junk files after completion. ^_^
