Question about Mitsubishi WS-65809 65" Rear Projection Television
Yesyerday while watching a movie I heard a pop noise and my tv shut itself off. When I tried to turn it back on I only got sound and no picture. I sae an amber light come on by the power button. I tried turning it on again and it came back on again with sound and no picture. This time a red light came on. I them shut it off and unpluged it.
Could you please tell me whats going on with it.
Kay, the problem is not A DIY and certainly not cheap to fix. If under warranty of any kind claim it. If you recently had a storm and also have home insurance claim repair under FUSION You need to have repair person use the words Fusion on the bill to get paid/
The popping was capacitors on the y and x sustain boards and even the power board. Sustain boards are about $200 each and power board about $170 all up close to $900 for the repair. But get some quotes and try and find Mitsubishi specialist repair people as they will work faster and have the right parts in stock.
Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA
