Theres another fan next to the engine. all fans must work for the lamp to light. the colorwheel must be turning freely for the lamp to light. you can also take the top cover off and then slide the lamp out and then back in while watching to see if the connection on the lamp is pushing the female part on the lamp housing back instead of going into it. if it is, hold the female part in place with a driver or something while pushing the lamp into it.

Hi, I have a Infocus Projector, Model # LP70, serial # begins with ACAN. The projector only has 951 hours on the bulb. The unit powers on and I get the Infocus startup screen. as soon as I turn on a video...

I think it is the time to remove the cover and check for air filters blocked with dust.
When this happens, air doesn't flow freely through the projector and result in overheating, which leads to automatic shutdown.

LP-130. lamp won't come on. How do I know if

check the lamp. look on the inside for bulges, black spots, flaking or fogging. replace if you have any of those. if the lamp is ok, check the colorwheel. if it doesn't spin, that's your problem. if it does, it's the ballast. the bad news: infocus doesn't have parts for this model. sorry.

Infocus lp 130 projector has developed a dark spot/line the goes from the bottom center of the screen to about halfway up. This was never there prior. Anyway know what this might be? cleaned the lens...

the light tunnel has collapsed and needs to be replaced. unfortunately, infocus no longer makes or has parts for this model. you could try and find one on ebay. usually the power supply goes on those, so if someone has one with that problem you could get it and swap out the parts. good luck!

What is usually the cause when a projector overheat?

restricted air flow. either one of the fans are not working, the vent is blocked, or the projector is filled with dust. so, check the fans (if they are slow, replace them), make sure nothing is close to the back or sides, and blow out the dust with canned air. if it has overheated a number of times, you may need to replace the thermosensor.

In-Focus LP-130 and it turns on but the lamp wont fire up, it sounds like the cooling fan goes on and then stops, its a brand new bulb also.. some one said its daughter board that controls the cooling lamp...

the ballast is bad. the fan turns on for the colorwheel, but when the lamp doesn't strike, the fan and colorwheel turn off until it tries again. unfortunately, there are no replacement parts for the lp130.

Infocus LP 280 runs for 1 min then shuts down, runs again then

are the leds on the top lit or blinking? it could be the lamp, the ballast, or the fans. check the lamp. if there are black spots or bulges in the lamp, replace it. if not, make sure the fans are running. if they are, replace the ballast.

the cable might be the problem. swap out with another cable. other than that, make sure that the correct input is selected and the resolution matches.

Self Shutdown of my Infocus LP600

power supply problem. if it was overheating, it would go into cooldown mode then standby. there is an issue with the power supply, and it needs replacing. it's about $100 from infocus.
