Well... I sorta dropped my phone and theres a huge crack down the screen... besides that one facet there is nothing physically wrong with the phone itself. If i didnt neccesarily want to send the phone in for repairs but I wanted to do it myself, what would be the safest and quickest way to repair a cracked screen and only the screen??

When your screen is cracked you can assume it is defect. If it a new phone, you could visit a phone repair shop and ask what it will cost to repair this. If you have a insurance first ask the insurance company how to solve. If you have to pay yourself, decide in the shop if you give it for repair or you buy a new one.
If you you are experiencing white screen and nothing changes even after doing a hard reset you may want to call or contact HTC support. Be sure that it is still cover by their one year warranty. Coz having a white screen might caused of a lot of things like infected by virus, water incident, mobile phones has a physical damage. There are known issues with many of the HTC touch screens becoming unresponsive. You can try to clean the perimeter of the screen with a card, etc then wash any oil from the screen...just in case. But a huge number of these have been coming back to the vendors broken, if this is the case you can only contact your provider and hope you can get it replaced/repaired under the warrenty.
HTC will help you with this because it is so new. However if you dropped it
(etc.) and if apple doesn't replace it for you, You can get
the part at HTC Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at HTC Repair Guide.
