Question about Casio Exilim Pro EX-F1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Can't connect to pc through the usb port. I used to be able to connect the camera to any pc by connecting with the cord to an usb port - all I did was connect and switch on the camera and it gave me the option of 'computer' and then it would give me the option to open the files and download onto the pc, but now when i plug it into the usb port and switch the power on the camera just switches on and does not show up in the computer at all so my photo's cannot be downloaded onto my pc

Hi,

I highly recommend that you instead consider using a card reader to move the photos or videos to your computer. Card reader's do not require software (although Windows 98 and earlier may require drivers), are very inexpensive, are much faster downloading files from the camera, do not use the camera's batteries during the download, and are much less prone to file corruption of the photos during the download.
Really, it would be better for the camera user if one of these was included with the camera instead of the cable and bundled software.
You place the camera's card in the reader, plug the reader into the USB port, and your computer sees it as a hard drive. You simply copy/paste or drag/drop your photos onto your hard drive. For this simplicity, most professional photographers utilize card readers exclusively. You'll save yourself a lot of heartache if you convert to using one of these. Also make sure that you get a reader that is clearly stated capable of reading your card, particularly if you use SDHC, XD, CF, or MS cards.

How do u charge a kodak 7.2 camera, using the usb chord connected to the computer?

Use the USB cord to connect the camera to a powered USB port on a computer. Do not connect it through a USB hub. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge the batteries.

Sony NEX-3 - I can't seem to connect to my computer with USB connection. Camera is on and cord for usb is attached

Hi there, If you haven't already done so... Try connecting to a different USB port, or on a different computer. I noticed on my brothers computer, that when I use one USB port - doesn't work, but the other one does (probably something faulty inside on one of them). Also can try connecting using another different cord...
Hope you can get connected... ****.

When i connect my usb cord to my pc it and try to transfer pics to my pc it says: The software is unable to find a Olympus Digital Camera connected to a usb port on your computer. I just bought the pc in...

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How to connect my pc camera to my usb port

Each camera is different in as far as what Type of cord they use. Some use only one style of cord that no other camera can use.Sony for example-cameras,phones,camcorders,all use Sony only cords and they are only for that device, they can't be used on anything else.
The USB and Fire-wire 1394 combo are the most common. They are available everywhere, just be sure to take along your camera to verify compatibility.

I cant put pictures onto computer?

you have several options.
1. see first what operating system you computer runs.
if it is vista or mac, it will be recognized as unknown device,
look for SSCAM100 or DCIM folder. you will then see the camera files in that folder.

2. you should also download the cd driver, the cd that comes with the camera, to your PC. this will help the connection be proper.

3. if you're using desktop, try to connect the camera at the back of your tower. look for a USB port at the back of the tower and connect USB cord to it.

4. make sure you're using the proper USB cable, the cable that comes with the camera. for your S630, it is USB cable type 2.

5. also, make sure before you connect camera to PC, camera is turned off, when the USB cord is properly connected, that is the time camera should be turned on.

6. when unpluggin the camera to PC, make sure that you are safely removing the device from the PC so you will not have future connection problems.

hope my suggestions work for you.

What's up with my camera

You will probably have to go into "My Computer" and find your camera in the "Devices with Removable Storage". It should be there, otherwise, try plugging it into a different USB jack on your computer, if you have one.
