Yes, you can use a standard UTP cable outdoors and in sunlight. It is not ideal, but it works.

You might want to consider running the cable inside a PCV pipe so the cable doesn't get damaged, or use STP (Shielded twisted pair), which is more resistant to interference from other sources (but also more expensive).

Don't forget: The longer the cable, the more the signal degrades!

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

I have a Springfield precisetemp 433 wireless. The outside temp is reading 99 degrees when it should be reading about 70. When I disconnect the unit from the probe the temp is correct, so I'm guessing...

SOMETIMES WHEN METAL IS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT IT WILL
GIVE FALSE READING. MY OUTDOOR THERMOMETER IS METAL AND IT READS ABOUT 15 DEGREES HOTTER THEN IT IS. BECAUSE IT'S IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

What should I do in order to keep my outdoor chair out of direct sunlight?

You should look for table umbrellas that can make dining outdoors more enjoyable and can keep your chair unexposed to the sun. Moreover, you can get a Stand-alone umbrella that can be moved to various locations as needed and shade as necessary.

Where should acrossover UTP cable are used?

Crossover UTP cable is used from point to point communications between 2 computers or it connects two devices of the same type. For example DTE - DTE or DCE - DCE. DTE stands for data terminal equipment and DCE stands for data circuit terminating equipment. It is connected directly from one computer to the other.
Hope this simple solution could help you to solve your problem. Mam/Sir don't forget me to rate me up I really appreciate what ratings you have given to me. Thanks a lot and God Bless.

UTP

Not recommended, the impeadance of the UTP is not the same as the coax. If you do wish to proceed the color will not matter. Just be certain to use the same on both ends of the cable. Any good reason to want to use UTP over coax?

What is UTP CAT 5e cabel?

This 1000 foot, spool-boxed roll of grey Cat5e bulk cable is a must-have for extensive networking. This unterminated and UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable is perfect for a plethora of networking applications.
Cat-5e, enhanced Cat-5 cable, is the standard for modern networking - enabled for far end crosstalk and compliant with up to 1000BASE-T standards. This unshielded cable comes in its own spool box and is connector free, giving the user the freedom to customize the length, wiring, and application.
This cable is 1000 feet long and are marked at every foot (marked 0001 - 1000 at each foot).
Wire the cable as either a patch or a crossover cable, use it for Ethernet or any other data transfer applications. Sewell Direct works hard to bring you affordable Cat5e bulk cable solutions.

Shielded cabling, of one type or another, has been the preferred cabling infrastructure in many global markets for many years. Cables described as foil screened unshielded twisted-pair (F/UTP) and fully shielded cables with an overall braid screen plus individual foil shielded twisted pairs (S/FTP) are now gaining popularity in markets where unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cabling has traditionally been the most common solution.
This rise in adoption is tied to the publication of the IEEE standard known as 802.3an 10GBASE-T and this emerging application's sensitivity to noise from adjacent cabling. This noise from adjacent cabling is known as alien crosstalk. Screened and fully shielded 10 Gb/s cabling systems, such as category 6A F/UTP and category 7 S/FTP, are all but immune to the alien crosstalk that presents problems for category 6A UTP cabling. These cabling systems can help reduce the size and cost of pathway spaces due to their smaller diameters.
Even as cabling installers and their clients increasingly enjoy these benefits, confusion surrounding the bonding and grounding of screened and shielded systems has caused some to avoid them. This concern is unfounded, as advances in screened and shielded cabling systems have simplified bonding and grounding methods tremendously. Today, the installation and bonding and grounding/earthing of F/UTP and S/FTP cabling systems requires little additional effort and expertise over UTP installations.

How to connect two remote device with a phone line in between.

no, not with a phone line... you could but making a bridge connection with an utp cable... but with all respect, if you were thinking about a telephone cable you are surely not qualified to do that bridge without assistance... so i recommend the following.

You surely know that UTP cable (lan cable) supports a distance up to 90 metres which is about 295 feet. If you need to go outdoor for that connection i would recommend outdoor cable for that connection its very cheap... and you dont need two routers if you just have four computers tops...

other stuff like amplify antennas might help your reach the far away computer via wireless...

other way is to find info on how to build a bridge with two routers on the net by searchin on google, its not that hard, but you still need utp cable... never phone line.

Unable to connect to internet on desktop pc

does your utp cable crimped correctly? have you tested this? try to use this utp cable to your laptop if its okay then follow the instruction as what is written in the manual, i also experience like this with my 4pc's before and i found out that the utp cable i crimped was not properly done. in the case of the DI-524 this is just a plug and play you don't need to configure.
