Regarding sending pictures using Picasa. Family complain that the photos they receive are too small to enjoy looking at.

Picasa is great for sending photos. You must go to the tools pulldown, bottom 'options' and there is a tab for email... where you can can change the size of the photo attached to the mail.

How do you download the software and upload your pics and how do you make videos and upload them to????????????????

Click here to Download and install Picasa from Google. Its free and easy to use. Once installation is complete you can plug in your camera to the computer using a USB cable (with picasa running on screen)and the import screen will guide you through the rest of it. Uploading to what ever is easy with Picasa, but you did not specify, so I would need to know where you want to send it. Picasa has the ability to create online photo albums that you can share with others via email or easy links to upload to popular sites such as flickr, photobucket or others.

Upload straight from camera. Is there an application out there that will make it possible to upload direct from the camera to enable images to be posted onto forums? Either direct to the forum post, or...

Yes, If you use picasayou can email your pics to your account. Also Picasa 3 is out of beta and isthe pc side client and will allow you to upload pics from the phone or acamera, edit them (adjust light, color, darken shadows, sharpen) and upload tothe web. You can set it to sync with your web account so any pics added oredited will auto update so what is on your pc is whats on the web. The geo tagsshow where the pic was taken if you turn it on. And it is owned by google so itwill link to gmail and other google services. On your gmail page click on<photos> at the top of the page.
Also on your picasa home page click on <new features> at the top of thepage scroll to the bottom and look for "picasa web for mobiledevices", click on "use your mobile device", input your phonenumber and in about a minute you will get a text with a link in it, click onthe link and it will take you to your picasa home page and you will see youralbums and be able to browse your online photos on your G1, hit menu, addbookmark, done. Now you can upload via email and download via web and manageyour pics in your account.
To email pics to the account look under (settings) at the top of the page andcheck the box "Allow me to upload photos by email" it lists the emailaddress to send them to.
One last thought add a contact called Picasa with the email address from theabove so when you take a picture hit menu, share, picasa, send, whamo picuploaded. Side benefit, you have your pics backed up online, no app to take upmemory, and you don't have to buy a bigger sd card to hold your pics.

How do i send a scanned item to email

If your scanner software does not have a direct function to do this, you might want a) to get a new scanner (they are cheap nowdays) with a software pack that offers an integration with your favorite email software; b) or you might need to add a few helper-apps to assist you with this task. I use b), and I use Picasa. Here how it works.

1) Install Picasa first (if not installed yet)
2) When saving your scanned images note the default folder where the scanner saves these images.
3) Make sure that Picasa monitors the folder where images (2) are saved.
4) While scanning you can have the Picasa running, then you'll see real-time how your images pops-up in Picasa
5) Scan an image and save it with a default name in the default folder
6) Just scanned image will appear in the Picasa automatically- select this image or images and email them with your favorite email client, you van use gmail right from Picasa, or have your Outlook be integrated with Picasa - your choice.

If you have a gmail account you can publish your images to your gmail personal web photo album and send a link to your friends instead of an image.

Now you can email scanned images and your images are orginized.

Cannot email pictures

Why don't you upload your photos to one of the many free photo sharing websites, and merely share the weblink to your photos with your friends. In this manner, both you and your friend's email boxes are not clobbered by these huge files. Here are several good sites.

Googles Picasa
www.picasaweb.com

Microsoft's Skydrive

I have yahoo as my email address and I am trying to send some photos to another yahoo email address and I can't seem to do it. There was a question about POP3 and SMTP. How do it share the photos?

I would sign up for a Picasa account.
It's free and it's a great way to share photos with friends over the internet.
You can find it at picasa.google.com or just Google the word "picasa"
Hope this helps.

Sending pics

Some phones can't send pics and some phones can't receive pics instantly. If you're sure your phone is supposed to send pics then the person you are sending to must have a phone that can't receive pics that way. The only way around that is to send the person an email and attach the pic as a file to go with the email. The person will then have to open the file attached to the email when they get it. It's not as cool as instantly seeing the pic pop up on your screen but its better than nothing.
