Yes you can recover most or all if you act quickly. Go to your local staples or other computer store and speak with the technician about which piece of software you will need. j.

How do you erase all images on a Canon IXUS 1100 HS camera?

If all the pictures are on a memory card, format the memory card. If all the pictures are in the internal memory, remove the memory card (if installed) and format the internal memory.

Formatting wipes out all information from the memory card or internal memory and prepares it for further use. This is better than deleting individual pictures and will help prevent future troubles.

Will not read the memory card .keeps saying no memory card and cannot record when ever you try to take a picture

Possibly the SD or SDHC memory card has been locked here is a diagram of a memory card in the two positions.

Also a new memory card will need to be formatted to the camera before the camera can properly communicate with the memory card.

I have a canon powershot sd1300 and i need to delete ALL my pictures at once how do i do this?

The easiest way to delete all your pictures is to format it. If the pictures are in internal memory, format that. If they're on a memory card, format that.

Memory cards should be formatted each time you finish downloading the pictures from them.

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS Digital Camera keeps giving me a memory card error. The memory card is a 4gig PNY memory card (lower budget)

Make sure the slide switch on the side of the card is unlocked. Your camera may just want you to format the card in the camera. Download any pics from it first using a card reader if necessary.

PowerShot SX10 IS Digital Camera: I took my card out, when I put it back in it says ...

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

Internal memory??

Highly recommend that you consider using a card reader to download you pictures. You insert the camera's memory card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days. Here are some examples of CF card readers from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1223745821/ref=sr_st?keywords=cf+compact+flash+card+reader&rs=172282&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Acf+compact+flash+card+reader&sort=price

Also, if the card has somehow become corrupted, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos. Take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

You will also need to use a card reader with this software. Finally AFTER you've recovered your photos, recommend formatting the card IN YOUR CAMERA to prevent this from happening again. Note that formatting will totally erase your card. Turn on the camera, press the menu button, select the tools menu. Go down to the selection that states your CF card's memory capacity and select it. Then follow the formatting prompts.

Canon S1- Camera doesn't save the pictures - What to do ???

No, it,s free. It's just that your answers are from hobbyists and knowitalls who reply when they have the time to stop by here (it's like Yahoo answers, but with geeks:).

Sounds like your memory card may be faulty. Take no more pics until you've recovered the missing photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for (recommend the last one listed):
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st?keywords=card+reader&rs=172282&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Acard+reader&sort=price

And finally, recommend formatting the card in the camera after you've recovered the pictures. Look for a "Low Level" format option in the camera's menus. The format should help prevent this from happening again.

Format Memory Card

No problem. Your formatted pics are still there until you take more pics and overwrite them. Just remember not to take any more pics on that card just yet.
It's no problem at all to get them back. As an example, try the below linked freeware program. It's tiny to download (a little over 1meg), and very easy to use. You'll have your pics back in ten minutes after reading this:
