I finally found a way to change the Background Image on my Kenwood DDX5032.

Firstly I made up some JPEG (.jpg) images in Photoshop and made these 480(pixels wide) x 234 (pixels high). I then put three of these images on to a USB Thumb Drive, made sure my stereo was on "Tuner" (source set to Tuner) and then switched off the ignition. Then I followed these steps:

  1. With ignition off, plug in the USB Thumb Drive,
  2. Turn ignition to accessories,
  3. Pressed the "Setup" button,
  4. Pressed the "User Interface" button,
  5. Pressed the "Memory" button listed under "User Background" (as this was no longer greyed out),
  6. Selected the picture file I wanted to load,
  7. Waited for the picture to upload in to the stereo's memory and the screen to return to the "User Interface",
  8. Pressed the "Change" button under "Background Change",
  9. Selected the picture I wanted and pressed "Enter",

...and voila, it was done. The instruction manual shows additional information if you have multiple folders or files. I hope this works for you as it did for me.

Cheers,
Glenn

  6. Choose whether your Background position will be left, center or right.
  7. If your image isn't very large, choose the background color that will show behind the image.
  8. Choose a color for links.

How to make your picture as your desktop background or wallpaper in Windows XP?

You can personalize your computer by using your picture as your desktop background. All you should do is to save or upload your picture to your computer. Save it in a folder (e.g. My Documents > My Pictures) Open My Documents then My Pictures Browse your best photo then right click on it then select Set as Desktop Background.

How do you upload pictures and use them as a background on memorex Label Maker? I went to the browse backgrounds and yet all there are are default backgrounds and I can't upload my own

It will automatically default to default background directory. When the default directory opens look up top and there will be a browse photo button. Click on it and then choose C: drive and then the directory or folder your pics are in.

How do I upload images to my deck from my usb drive and how do I make the image my background?

!FIRST!
Make sure you are not listening to a CD or the USB device while trying to upload! Select something like the radio as the active source!
!2nd!
It can only load .jpg. Also, the images are stored on the USb drive, except for the on you upload as a background. That one is saved on the unit itself.

Go to settings on the menu at the right, then "User Interface". Under "User Background" select "Memory".
Select the folder your picture is in and then the picture itself.

DONE!
I have a quick question about YOUR specific unit. Does it display your MP3s on the USB device in numerical order? Mine always display them in alphabetical track title order, which is dumb.
I'm afraid my unit is defective...

Once logged in to your twitter account, go to Settings -> Design.

You may select a theme or you may select Change Background Image to upload a picture. Make sure that the image is smaller than 800k. (GIF, JPG, PNG).

I hope this helps!
