I get a ghost image when printing

2 things can cause this problem.Since I can not see the problem all I can do is tell both problems. If the image is black like toner in both places then you probably have a defective fusing assembly with coating worn off.It acts like a Teflon skillet with teflon worn off. The eggs stick to where the coating is missing. So with that said if coating is missing from fuser then toner sticks and comes off on the page on the next revolution. The other problem is with the drum/toner cartridge. The drum is not cleaning after the print is put on the page causing the image to repeat on the page.

What is causing the black lines that I am getting on all of my printed pages?

Most of the cases vertical lines on print out causes 1. Toner cartridge 2. Fuser Teflon sleeve.. If you are replaced with new cartridge try to replace fuser teflon sleeve( only professionals can do this activity)

Poor print quality - dots on side of copies

Using refilled cartridges? avoid refilled one, remove cartridge, used blower blow out toner fallen in side, take 25 pages of blank pages print outs, then go to menu>configure device>fuser modes select clean page wait to clean it self, do this process twice or thrice till fell print quality good.. if no result replace teflon sleeve(replacing the teflon sleeve only professional can do)

The IT Dept. at work gave me a Laserjet 2420. When I print something, it appears that ink is stuck to the roller and will reproduce faded lines further down in the page. I would describe it as the toner is...

Faulty cartride or fuser causes ghoost image in print outs. Primary level:check with another cartridge. Secondry level: Remove fuser assm out, check teflon sleeve surface deposited with toner?. replace teflon sleeve if available if not replace fuser assm. In fuser modes we can increase/decrese the temparature of fuser.
Note: only service engineer can replace the teflon sleeve.. user not advisable

Our HP Laserjet P4015N is printing funny. When printing out a column of information, it will continue to print the information above it, in the white space below the column of numbers in a grey tone. I...

The "ghost print" you are getting is caused the fuser, even with 60% life left. We have seen this type of wear pattern happen if you print more on one side of the page than the other, or print darker images than standard use would be. The fuser heat roller is coated with Teflon to prevent the toner from sticking to it but when the coating gets worn down you get the ghosting like you have. You can replace just the fuser or you can get the whole maintenance kit and just keep the pickup rollers for later use. If you open the back of your printer so you can see the fuser you should be able to see the heat roller and most likely you will notice a worn area that is not the same color as the rest of the roller.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

When I print I get one vertical line about 2 inchs in from left side on every print.I've taken the toner cartridge out and cleaned the rollers and ink splatter inside the printer but still get the...

The vertical line you are getting is caused by a worn heat roller on the fuser. The fuser is the part that heats up and melts the toner to the page. The roller is coated with teflon to prevent the toner from sticking to it but when it gets worn down you get the lines like you have now. You will need to replace the fuser assembly or have a service shop replace it for you. The part numberyou need to get is: RG9-1493 and is available from many places on the internet. If you are going to try to install one yourself you should also get a service manual for the printer because you have to disassemble a good portion of the unit to change the fuser.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
