There are a lot of problems with Emachines as far as motherboards go. Since you've already replaced the power supply, it's safe to say that it's not causing your issue.

Since you seem comfortable with the inside of your machine, go ahead and take out all unnecessary components. If you've left your machine the way it was since you've bought it, start with the modem card that's in the bottom PCI slot. Often, those can cause issues with the computer not starting up, staying on, etc.

Also ensure that the machine is free of dust, and that all cables and connections are secure. Try not to let things float freely, and make sure you're plugging the machine into a surge protector, and not directly into the wall.

When i power on emachine t6410... pc attempts to power up but stops after a 1/2 second and only the power button blinks continuosly... what gives?

It sounds like it could be a hardware failure. Most emachines that I have dealt with have a motherboard failure within the first few years. They tend to put cheap hardware in their computers that works well for a little while but ultimately fails.

How di do a hard reset on emachine t6410

A hard reset means that you press the reset button that is next to the power button on the computer case, as opposed to a software reboot, start > restart.

Emachines ET1810 desktop computer randomly powers down for seemingly no reason. Doesn't crash or freeze, just turns off, as if the plug was pulled. Started about 5-6 months after buying.

It could be overheating, and automatically shutting itself down, to avoid any damage.

Did you get the standard 12 month warranty when you purchased the computer? Did you purchase "extended" warranty? If so, contact Emachines, and get them to trouble-shoot and fix it.

Emachine T6410 turns on but the screen says ''No Signal''

Hello,
This problem is very common when you have a bad ram/ memory module or it is not making sufficient contact. Remove them and clean with a piece of dry cloth and reseated properly. Try it again. If it is still not coming on, the ram may be bad. Get them tested and replaced.

Thanks,
Lolita
