Hello,
the problem could be from the rubber attached to the motor of the mechanism, check if it is slack or cut. Replace if found any to same size.If otherwise you need to change the mechanism of the DVD player for better effectiveness.
Thanks and Good luck...

I have five discs in there. The drawer won't open. I can hear whirring noise.

You can try unplugging the unit and waiting a few minutes and then replug and reboot the player. If it still does not work you might want to check the eject mechanism for operation. Maybe a blet slipped off a pulley?

The tape won't eject. press any button and nothing happens makes a whirring sound

I would take the top cover off the machine and see what is happening inside. It's clearly trying to get the tape out from the noise.

MY DVDROM STUCK I AM UNABLE TO EJECT IT

You can try a manual eject by taking an unfurled paper clip, and sticking the end into the tiny hole on the faceplate of the optical disk drive.

The dvd will not eject just makes a whirring

There is always a small hole in the front of the tray. Insert a pin through it and press gently when it encounters resistance. The tray will open.

CD won't eject. I have tried the button on the drive and clicking the eject through the software. The light lights up and there is a whirring sound, but then nothing.

your cd rom tray is stuck inside may be due to a hardware error please take a paper clip and make it straight now insert this clip in a small hole located at the front panel of your cd rom drive..apply some pressure and the tray will be ejected/..

Problem with system

I have two of these units and have identical problems. Noticed that the cooling fans do not come on so suspect the amplifer is overheating and there may be a thermal sensor that shuts the unit down.

Loss of Speaker Test, Progressive Scan option, FF/RW Scanning, and DTS Sound

First thing to try, would be to unplug all your equipment overnight to see if the microprocessors reset. If your still having problems , then you have a firmware problem and you should contact the manufacturer to see if its downloadable and upgradeable. Good Luck
