Hi,

Thanks for contacting Fixya.com

Try sliding a putty knife between the door and frame and see if you can unlock it. try emptying the water tank and then if it still won't open then there should be a little orange plastic tab with a screw in it in a little compartment near the floor (where you can drain more and check to see if the lint/hair/coin trap is full...btw have towels and a pan ready if you're draining).

Let us know if you have something more to know else please accept the suggestion.

Thank You.

The trap can be removed by unscrewing it counterclockwise and pulling it off. Most likely there is something trapped in the trap that blocks it from unscrewing. Remove the trap assembly for you to be able to dodge it and release the debris that might be blocking the trap from unscrewing. Indicate the exact model number should you need further advice.

How to clean the drin filter

If there is enough room put a large adjustable or water pump pliers on the cover,i used the adjustable and put a screwdriver through the hole in the end and very gently applied pressure until in moved, I sprayed a little lube in the space between the cover and housing and it came off much easier then. There was so much debris in the trap and it stinks really bad, a large dish is needed under the cover as a lot of water will come out. Clean out the trap and reassemble using vaseline or grease to help the o ring seal.

How to clean the pump

Remove the bottom front panel. Perpare for water coming out, so have plenty of towels, place them in and around the pump. Remove the trap slowly, once the water is all out you can remove the trap completely. check in the trap housing as well as in the port to the pump. If you require further help I am here.

My washer wont agitate or spin

kind of a vague description, but likley cause is a bad or clogged drain pump, not allowin water out to spin, removing bottom cover will gain oyou acess to "button trap" portion of pump housing..

uunscrewing "button trap" willallow you to clean oout debris, but be warned that any wate in tub however little or lot there isin machine will also be coming out as well.i genreally grab a black plastic garbage bag and surround the opening prior to unscrewing the trap cover to catch the deluge of immenent water!!!!

usually determine this as well, if by turning off water supply, then select the "drain spin" cycle. Start the machineand in a bout10 secs or so youll usually hear teh pupmp activate, but instead of mvoving/drain water it simply sits ther HUMMING..

Runs through the wash wont drain properly

Two issues must be checked out.
First of all the drain pump must be checked for voltage to it, if present then the pump is struck and must be cleaned of dirt. remove and clean filter and reset.
if there is no voltage on the pump then the failure of the driver section in the controller is possible.

disconnect machine from mains electric supply. remove top cover of machine then check the back of the control panel for a small black pipe, it should be attached to a small nipple in the panel rear if it is not you will get the fault you describe. if the pipe is connected remove it and blow down pipe with your mouth or a foot pump to remove any blockage then reconnect it and try the machine again. check also that the pipe is not trapped or kinked too i hope this helps you

Inop.

Below is for Whirlpool/Kenmore, u might find it helpful. Some machines have a small trap door on left front bottom, coin trap.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.

Pl rate me nice for the free help, thnks

Display show f21 and it wont drain

the f21 code actually is a no drain code....the machine has an electric pump behind the cover on the bottom with a lint trap in it....just unscrew the lint filter from the pump(there will be alot of water coming out when you take this out) and clean the trap and that should take care of your problem
