    Hello:

This is Randy Wilson again. I have attempted to include a picture from a brochure that was in my HK 710 Tuner box. I hope it comes through.

Thanks from a Gray haired Vietnam veteran who hopes to get his audio rig back up and running.

If your pushbutton is broken off the power switch, then we have the same problem! After several years of careful screwdriver use to push the plunger, I've dug it out and am trying again to fix it. Hopefully Gorrilla Glue will work this time.

If you've opened it up and looked at the idiotic switch activator Harmon Kardon put in this huge chassis, you are probably as mystified as I am! No wonder it broke, and I'm surprised it lasted so long! I've long since replaced it, but want to use it again now and trying again.
One word of warning. If you have the matching amp, and the power switch goes on that, it's easier to fix. There's a pushrod that goes from the front of the unit to the back, where the switch is, and it may just fall off. Open it up and put it back! That's it!

Good luck, and I hope you get the old stuff running again. I'm still using and loving my 25+ year old Klipsch La Scalas!

Maybe I don't see the issue. The output of the tuner goes into the preamp jacks marked tuner. If I'm missing something, please let me know.

Amplifier doesnt turn on at all

The Signature line was always an HK high end line. If it won't turn on at all, there may be a power supply issue. If it turns on, but you have no sound, your amplifier may have DC Offset, meaning a damaged amplifier.
I was a Technical Support Specialist in Audio for HK, JBL and Infinity.
If you are interested in having your amplifier repaired, please look to my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Only hissing sound from 990 Vxi tuner

I remember a similar problem with these back when I repaired them. It has something to do with the I.F. section of the AM/FM tuner section and will require a HK service visit. Find a local HK dealer who's been selling them "forever" and ask if they have a bench tech who they would recommend for the repair. I just saw one of these on Ebay for $25.00 so I wouldn't spend much to have it fixed.

Marantz amp will not put out any sound

If it went out with no indications of trouble it's probably a fuse in the output circuit. It might be an out put amp but typically they let you know they're going bad with a little noise.

Stereo connection

Hi spanky

Sorry for the delays in getting back to you. Been busy here this week.

OK. to connect the 2275 to the 1152,there are 2 ways of going about this.

You can plug the pre- out of the 2275 to the power amp-in of the 1152. In doing this you are using the power amp section of the 1152 and the preamp functions of the 2275. Your other gear like CD player, tape deck and so on also plug into the 2275.

the other(better) way is to plug the pre-out of the 2275 into the tuner inputs of the 1152, leaving the volume at about 40% on the 2275 and use the 1152 as an integrated amp. This means you are using the 2275 as a tuner only. When you do this, you will need to use an RCA lead to jumper the pre-out/poweramp-in connections on the back of the 1152, and the 2275 ... L to L and R to R respectively.

I am still wondering why you want to use 2 integrated amps (each having a preamp and a poweramp section) The only real benefit the 2275 brings to your system will be tuner functions. You could just get a tuner and run the 1152 to be an ideal rig.

Let me know what your ideal setup you are wishing to build would have. Speakers, other gear like CD, tape deck, etc.

No right channel output

Feed the amp with the left channel preamp to the right channel input on amp and check output. If you get output from amp then pre amp nedds to be checked out if still no output then amp is suspect. Randy
