Re: Iphone won't turn on
you should try to keep pressed the lock button ( on the top) and the home button for 10 secconds.
if this doesn't work, try to do the same when it is connected to your computer.
if my advise works, your iphone will be i restore mode!

Before you can charge your iPhone on the computer, your computer needs to install the drivers for it. You might have to reinstall the drivers for it. A good way to check if the drivers are incorrectly installed is to see if iTunes detects it. Try updating your iTunes since the old version of iTunes won't work with ios6 and all iPhone 5 are shipped with ios6
The charge adapter maybe faulty. If your cell phone is a few months old, then it would be still under warranty. Take it back to the place where you purchased it and have it repaired or replaced under warranty.

If your iPhone's battery runs very far down, the iPhone won't turn on. That's because it's using its remaining battery life to preserve your data and settings. So, your iPhone could be refusing to turn on because its battery doesn't have enough juice. In that case, plug your iPhone into a wall charger or into your computer (plug it directly into the computer; some USB ports on keyboards don't have enough power to charge iPhones). Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. If it was low on battery and needed a charge, when it's got enough juice to power the screen, it will turn on and show you its charging status, starting with the red battery icon.During this process, you may also want to make sure there's no lint packed into your cable or the iPhone's dock connector. This isn't a hugely common problem, but a lot of pocket lint could interfere with the iPhone getting a charge.
My iphone's battery died and i plugged it in to charge it and left it there. Then plugged it into my computer then tried to turn it on and it wont turn on.. I don't know what to do. Does anybody have any ideas
ive tried charging and holding both buttons but nothing that means it is a hardware problem or the motherboard
try resetting it by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake button (on the top right of the unit) and the Home button (circular button on the iPhone?s face) simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
The first tip worked for me too, just try resetting it... Here's the logic: When your iPhone dies, the internal RAM shuts down after the reserve battery power is used. This in turn sleeps the motherboard, which is why it appears dead. Resetting the RAM on the motherboard will juice the very small amount of energy out of the battery to re-boot the motherboard. If resetting your iPhone doesn't work for you at first. Lay it in your cradle for approx. 10 minutes then try resetting. Although it doesn't appear so, you will actually be charging the battery, just without waking the motherboard.
Hold down the home button then plug the usb lead into the back of the computer at the same time. see if that helps!
I was in panic attack !!! did everthing and nothing seems to wake up my iphone.
I forgot to charge it so battery went full empty, then I plug it on the wall charger, and nothing happend. I let it all nite, and next morning,... surprise !!!!! still the red icon, No battery, the iphone didnt restart!!!!
How I fix it?
1-unplug it from the wall charger
2- press middle button and startup button, same time
3-when red battery dissapear, plug the charger.
4_ do this many times. Didnt work for me the first time, but at the end it works !!!!
NOW MY IPHONE IS WORKING GREAT !!!!!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!!!!!!
If you are comfortable with opening devices you can take a multimeter to the battery. If the phone doesn't turn on if you battery has 3.7V or more you have a logic board issue. Oh, did you do a hard reset yet? Press menu and sleep/wake button together for 5 sec. If after all revival attempts you still don't get it to turn on It's usually an issue with the logic board, so ultimately if you want to resolve it, the logic board needs to be replaced. There are iPhone Repair guides that show you how.
