Hi,

If the Oven Does not heat and Fan does not Turn ON, there could be 2 Possibilities. Either the Door Switch is Faulty or Control Board needs to be replaced.I would suspect one of the three switches to be at fault. You will need a volt meter to test continuity on the switches if all three test OK the control will need to be replaced.

Regarding the parts, there could be many sites, but it would be tough to get the Parts for your Model.I would suggest you to look for nearby Appliance Repair / Parts shop for the same.

The Door Switch cost could range anywhere between $10 - $35 depending on the Make, Model, Location of the Shop.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

If it starts running as soon as its plugged in you may have a bad or out of align door switch. Humming noise could be the mag if its not heating. Replace mag and diode/rectifier

My Dacor PCOR30 only works 58-59 seconds at a time. I've read this could be a control board issue (part No. 66660). Is this correct? Is there any other possible cause?

Not likely.

This is a problem in one of the damper-related components, either the switch or motor or the damper door may be binding.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller senses that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

Dacor-branded PCOR30-series microwaves are just cosmetically altered versions of the Sharp R1870-series ovens.

These Sharp-made models stop after 59 seconds when there's damper toruble.

See the attached sample drawing below for a typical damper assembly.

We have the applicable service manuals for the Sharp models and have uploaded it to our site here and here to help you in disassembling and troubleshooting your Dacor version.

You can find the Dacor PCOR parts list here and you can order Dacor parts by part number here.

If a switch is all you need, we offer a universal type for only $7.50 postpaid which you can order here.

Our G E XL1800 micro wave doesn't heat anything,. The settings seem to work, and it turns inside but it warm up anything

Since you didn't mention the model number, I have to be kind of general.

We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.

If it's quieter than usual (like the fan is not coming on) then it's likely a bad door switch or door switch mount or possibly a bad relay or connection no the control board, which we repair.

If it's louder than usual, that's usually a problem in one of the high voltage parts.

A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually a shorted high voltage rectifier diode, but a sound like gurgling into an empty coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag can be bad without that sound.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:

Unit shuts down every 59 sec. No matter how much time, with or without anything in micro and I figure to replace motor and switch. How do I get to those parts in unit? Does it have to come down?

You will have to remove the oven from the wall and remove the outer cover to access, test & replace damper parts.

Just refer to your installation instructions.

Pcor30s shuts off at 59 sec mark. Do I need to take down to get to damper motor, switch and door? Is it on rt. Side? Thanks, rick

They're on the left side, and yes, you need to remove the oven from the wall, then take off the outer cover to get access.

This Dacor oven is just a cosmetically-altered version of the Sharp R-1870-series ovens.

So the installation instructions for the R-1870-series will help you get it down. They're here.

We have the R-1874 service manuals here and here, and the PCOR30 parts list here.

Microwave wasn't heating properly and now the door won't open. The button you push to open the door usually has tension on it but now it has none.

You can remove the control panel assembly, then you'll be able to see the door opening parts.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

The Dacor PCOR30 is essentially a rebranded Sharp R-1874, so the relevant Sharp service manuals (here and here) will help you with disassembly if you need more help.

The Sharp manuals will not have the proper Dacor part numbers.

For that, see the Dacor PCOR parts list here.

Our favorite place to order Dacor parts is by part number from the Pros here.

Q - The microwave display counts down and the inside light is on,  but nothing is heating and the fan is not running.
A - This most commonly is a bad door switch, other possible problems are a faulty relay or solder joint on the power module, but a bad door switch is most common.
Q - My microwave is running and sounds like it is working but will not heat up anything.
A - Many thing can do this but, common things are....loose high voltage wire.....poor solder joint on board.....magnetron.....power relay.....
Q - The microwave makes a loud "hum or buzz" noise but will not heat up the food?
A - 9 times out of 10 this is usually this is a bad magnetron, the other time is sometimes a bad high voltage diode. See components section.

Sounds like the door monitor switch, which would take out the internal ceramic fuse. I'd replace those two plus the primary and secondary door safety interlock switches.
