Question about Apple iTunes

1 Answer

When playing sample songs in ITunes the songs pause and an "Opening URL" message appears with a message "rebuffering stream" in the box. I have looked for answers and some say the media player is the problem. How exactly do I fix this problem?

This is not a problem from the media player ..it is a connection issue ..when the flow of the packets into the connection streaming is not continuous ..its makes what is called under-buffering and will stop until the information are streamed again in the right way..This is happening only with songs you play from the internet or the itune storenot with ones already downloaded..

Not playing song all the way and skipping

Make sure the songs are not samples-only first.

"File Format Not Supported" - SA6045/37
The file format not supported message means that the type of file you are trying to load into the GoGear is not compatible with the GoGear. There are no GoGear's that are compatible with iTunes. As far as WMA files are concerned, the GoGear's vary wildly. If the WMA file has a bit rate higher than 192 kbps (which is quite common nowadays), it will not work. If you actually have an SA6045, then make sure the license on the WMA file has "transfer rights," or that the license has not expired. You can check this by right-clicking on the song, selecting Properties, and looking at the tab that says "license" or "digital rights management."

If you find that you are using an incompatible format, convert the songs to mp3 format. If the songs came from CD, use Windows Media Player to re-rip the songs in Mp3 format. You can do this in Windows Media Player 11 by highlighting the "Rip" tab, pulling down the drop down-menu by clicking on the little tiny arrow that appears underneath the word "rip," and selecting "format", and then "mp3".

Good luck!

MP3 player can't put song on it

This may have to do with the music service rather than the player itself. Napster, for instance, will allow you to transfer either a complete song or a streaming version of the song. If a streaming version of the song was loaded, you will see information, but the song will not play. On other songs, you must purchase the individual song before it will let you play them. In the past, you could pay a monthly fee (or no fee) for a service, and that was the only cost. Today, many services require a monthly fee PLUS a fee for each song. Try downloading a sample song from Windows Media Player to your device (on XP/Windows Media Player11, a sample song would be "David Byrne, Look Into The Eyeball"). If the sample song (you can also rip one from a CD that you own) plays in the player, then it is not the player that is the problem. Try it, and send me a reply if the sample song will not play.
