Question about Samsung DLP HL-P5663W 56" TV
Thanks for using FixYa. This issue is related to the ballast, since it might not be sending enough voltage to the lamp or it can be sending more than it should. And, that’s why TV is entering the protection mode. Also make sure all the fans are working inside the TV and there are no swollen/bilged capacitors on the power supply board. Due to these capacitors the Power supply is not able to turn on the TV as the capacitors overheat and cause the shutdown. You will need to check and replace them. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
