The HP Pavilion 523n desktop computer, has a computer case where both side panels can be removed.

This will allow access to all the tabs from the Front Panel.

Working on a table, computer unplugged from power.
Observe anti-static precautions.

[Anti-Static Precautions:

Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit) the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
You may not even see it, or feel it.

Computer case open, Touch the metal frame of the computer case to relieve your body of Static.

Should you walk away from working on your computer, upon your return, be Sure to Touch the metal frame again.

Ignore the above if you are aware ]

Observing the rear of the computer, you will see two screws on the Right side edge, and on the Left side edge.

One towards the top, one towards the bottom.

The screws on the Right side are removed, so that you can remove the side panel, to gain access to the inside of the computer.

(Again, you are viewing the computer from the Rear)

Removing the screws from the left side will let you remove that left side panel.

(Actually the Right.
Viewing a computer from the Front is the correct orientation, when referring to the Right, and Left sides of a computer)

Viewing inside your computer, and to the Front, you will notice that there are plastic flat tabs.
These flat tabs are part of the Front Panel.

The tabs protrude through the metal framework of the computer case.

There are 3 tabs on the Left side.
(Viewing the computer from the Front)

There are also 3 tabs on the Right side.
One at the bottom, one in the middle, and one towards the top.

The tabs have a hooked end.

The tabs must be pushed towards the inside of the computer, so that the hooked end will clear the slot, that the tab goes through.

(Slot in metal framework of computer case)

Push the 3 tabs, one at a time, in on the Left side.

Push the tab on the bottom towards the inside of the computer.
Holding the bottom tab in, push the middle tab towards the inside of the computer.

This should allow you to EASE the bottom of the Front Panel out, towards the front of the computer, just a LITTLE.

Now reach up, and push the top tab towards the inside of the computer.

Once the hooked end of these tabs have cleared the slots they were in, the Left side of the Front Panel will be free.
Go to the other side.
The Right side.

Do the same procedure again with the Right side.

The Front Panel will come off of the computer pretty far, before the Front Panel wires have reached their length limit.

Use caution however, as you could pull too far, and accidentally break one of those wires.

If you have any further questions regarding this, or related to the Pavilion 523n, just post in a Comment.

    Would also like to add;

If you are planning to remove the Front Panel all the way off of the computer, make yourself a drawing, and notes as to where the cables go to on the motherboard.

Make a mark on the motherboard, that will extend up on each individual cable connector. This will help to orient the connector, back to the correct position when reinstalling.

    HP Support>Pavilion 523n desktop computer>Motherboard Specifications page,

The motherboard illustration, and photo below it, may help.

Trying to open attachments using Adobe Acrobat Reader but keep getting error message { Adobe Acrobat Reader has stopped working ,try again later 523:523 } any one with any solutions gladly recieved.

One of the easies ways to fix this problem is to delete the adobe reader. Also remove from registry, if you do not know how to do that, stay away from it. Restart your computer and then reinstall the adobe reader, allow updates. Be careful, if your not then you'll also get the AVG tool bar installed. Read every install page and uncheck all other downloads EXCEPT auto upgrades. Hope it helps
