I have a problem with the cd player in my 2005 Nissan Maxima. It plays cds but i have to use tweezers to put the cd in and to take it out..what does that mean? do i have to buy a whole new cd player?

Sounds like the motor that usually draws the cd in and ejects it has gone bad. Which means you would have to replace the small motor on the inside of the cd player. Unless you have experience with repairing in dash cd players then it may be a job that will not be worth your time. You can always put in a better after market cd player for around 100 dollars.

The in dash CD player accepts a disc but does not play. It will show track number but it's stuck on 00:00 then it sim0ply ejects the disc. What could be wrong?

i know this may sound dumb but did you check the cd for scratches or fingerprints?
is this a cd that you burned from the computer? if so is it the correct type and in the correct format..
Sometimes when burning cd's on the computer depending on what software you are using if the bitrate is set to high (above 128Kbps) then the cd will not play on normal cd player
Also when burning cds on the computer the session must be closed completely before it can be played on a regular cd player

Try a brand new store bought type cd and see if it works if it still does not play then it is possible that the laser has somehow become "out of alignment" and that is too difficult to fix and better to be replaced

But by your description it sounds more like the cd is dirty or scratched

It is also possible that the stereo is wore out or malfunctioning

hope this info helps

I have a 2008 ford fusion. i just loaded a cd into in dash cd player and it now comes up with a "load error". i tried to eject it as well and it tells me "eject error'. it took my cd but it...

See if the cd is not fully inserted, take another cd and gently try to put it into the cd player to push any stuck cds back in. If this does not work you will need to replace the radio.

I have a cd stuck in my factory cd player, i have an 05 dodge ram 1500, the cd will play but wen i push the eject button the cd switches to the radio and does not eject out

the cd mechanism is probably bad. the only way to repair it is to replace the cd mechanism. it probably has a clarion cd mechanism.
