Exactly the same problem - prior to that two call outs for flooded reservoir caused by Finish tablets recommended and supplied by Hotpoint - but engineer says rubbish tablets. Changed tablets but one month later same problem this time engineer says machine needs to be tilted back to aid drainage. One month later same problem but this time blew the electrics in my house. Waiting for enginner to visit - no date given as new door seal and electrics have to be order but not convinced this will solve problem. Advised by Hotpoint that not prepared to refund me my money as goods not fit for purpose until three visits by engineer have taken place - machine 12 months old at end of May so running close to end of warranty and Hotpoints reaction then will be Tough Luck. Not a happy bunny as you can imagine. Jinnie Gloucester

Hotpoint FDW60 flashing eco light

if the eco light is flashing, this indicates that saftey float switch has activated in the base of the dishwasher usually caused by a leak, a polystyrene float activates a microswitch which cuts of the water inlet supply

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.

Selecting cycle and starting

I'm assuming the programs are all selected electronically...then your pc board is on its way out. In this case you would have to replace the board...most electronic boards have "service programs" which you can check functions, but I'm not familiar with Hotpoint.... Oshie

Dishwasher error codes please help

I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo
