Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
The "printer status" of my Canon MP510 printer has stopped working and, instead of showing the printer status while printing (including the remaining ink volume), I get the error message :
"Cannot communicate with the printer. Turn Enable bi-directional support on in the printer's Properties dialog box".
The printer is connected by a USB cable. The "enable bi-directional support" option is also greyed out in the printer's properties.
I have un-installed and re-installed the printer drivers but the problem still persists. The printer prints correctly and printing parameters can be adjusted as normal.
Basically, my computer can send information to the printer but cannot receive information back !
Because the printer is not responding, access from another PC on my home Network is not available - it is shown as 'off-line'.
Any assistance that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.
