Question about Car Audio & Video
I need to find a manual for a road gear 250 watt car amplifier. Do you know where I could download one?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

when in doubt go bigger, you might want to get a bigger amp down the road, so its better to not have to buy another wiring kit later.
and the bigger the wire the less line loss you will have so your amp will sound and perform better.

You will need a 6 Gauge wiring kit with a 50amp fuse to the battery. You can verify this by looking at the kits being sold on the internet for 600 Watt car amps.

A kicker amp with full range out put that has a switch for the range you most like. do not go over 400 watts rms or the tweeters will blow.

I would strongly recommend that you get a 5 channel amp that puts out 75watts rms per channel that will deliver between 200-300 watts to the sub channel. I use planet audio amps myself and they run strong all day every day-maybe you could look at a planet audio vrx 600.5(5-channel) it throws 100w x4 and 200 or 300 to the subs depending on the resistance of the sub. Good luck

SOURCE: Can a radio shack 250
Yes. It won't be great, but if you're starting out you should be ok. Musiciansfriend.com has some of the more popular pa options - generally radioshack=bad.
