Was wondering if the receiver was bad
Well try different inputs and also different sources.
The problem may be in the source, might be input specific or might be that the whole board in the TV was damaged, usually as a result of a surge thrugh the cable or antenna.
If the same result is seen with different sources, then you'll need a new main board like this:
Make sure to match the board number in your TV *before* ordering anything!
