I had the same problem with mine. It started reseting when I tried to connect wi-fi to my wireless network at home, as soon as I entered my security code. To fix this problem I had to turn off power on blackberry (If you hold power button of blackbery it will power off when it gets to desktop screen let it go and your bb will power off). then turn power off on your wireless router and your bb should turn on. Go to manage connections and turn wi-fi off. Apparently it is a bug in the os. mine works great.

Does the phone display regular pictures during bootup? If so you might be able to reflash the phone and write over whatever problem is causing it. If the phone goes white even when you first turn it on then I'd say it's very likely the actual hardware is damaged.
