Unless you are absolutlyey sure that the value is correct on the resistor replacement I would put the original back in if it still checks good. I could not get you a Service Manual, but I do have a nice trouble shooting guide that I can send you. I just need your e mail.

TURNS OFF ALL THE TIME

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to reset the Projection TV and to reset it follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the television and wait for 5 minutes.

2. After 5 minutes unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.

3. Let the television remain without power for more then 1 minute.

4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. If the television is plugged into a power surge protector, remove it from there and plug it directly into the wall outlet. Turn on the television. If the issue is resolved, then the problem is with the power surge protector and not the television.

If the issue is not resolved then this might have happened due to over-voltage. Please check the power supply unit for swollen/bulged capacitors and burnt wires/components on the power supply board of your TV. You should try and turn off the TV for 8-10 hours to reset it. Please make sure to turn off and unplug the TV for at least 1 hour (this will drain off current from all components especially capacitors) before you perform any repairs. Also note that the TV consists of very high voltages even when it is in OFF condition. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Mitsubihi tv wd-52525will not Power On after plug power cord

These Units have had a lot of problems with bad capacitors all over the Main Chassis. Most of the repairs are fixed correctly by sending the Main Chassis to Mitsubishi for them to refurbish it. In order to do this a Qualified Mitsubishi Repair Facility would need to come out to your home and remove the Chassis and send it Mitsubishi. The repair cost normally runs around $800.00 to $900.00. I would all Mitsubishi and see if they would be willing to help with the repair cost. Their Customer Service # is 1800-332-2119.
They should also be able to get you in touch with a local Service who can help out.
I hope this helps,

OLEVIA 532-B12 need video card

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)

If it's a simple replacable part, it might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact. I think that Sears repair person might be making it sound a little more modular than it really is.  If he's talking about replacing the mainboard of the TV (which IS a video board), that's basically "the guts" of the TV, and not a readily available part like a power cord, back side connectors.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

Mitsubishi WS-65513 Flashing green light

Good Day, charliek1;
This a very common problem with model. Don't listen to other comments unless the use the correct replacement parts.

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.

CURE: replace C9B01, C9B02,C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 uFD 16V) on the DM PCB. Replace them with part # 181P734030 (680uFd 16V).

The DM Board (PCB) is located on the very left side of the TV looking from back. Caution on removing Board and note what cables you disconnect to access the Metal Shielded Board.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

TV power problem

Does anything else work in the same outlet?
Also do you have it plugged into a power strip?
Unplug it wait about 20 - 30 seconds and plug it back in see if it resets its self

The fuse pops when I plug in the set. Otherwise there is no power.

Does the fuse pop even when you have the TV off? If so, it's most likely it's a short in the power cord. Examine the cord closely, and see if there are any breaks in it. If you have a voltmeter, see if you're getting much resistance if you put one tip on each prong of the plug (while it's unplugged, of course). You should have infinite resistance, while the TV's off.

It could be something within the TV's power supply, but I think a damaged cord is more likely (and it's MUCH easier to fix, just cut the cord and splice a new one on). If you're sure it's not the cord, check it again... and if you're still sure, let me know and we can delve into the difficult things that are less likely, but possible, to be the cause.

Most units give a error code "22" short protect circuit. If so check:

Q5A00
C557
and or the
convergence IC's (STK392-110) had failed and caused a diode (D522) to short
out.
If Q5A00 check bad there are other parts that have to be checked or
replaced.

Need new power cord

Recommend against soldering the damaged ends together - it's ugly, will never be especially safe, and risks being unreliable too. Have a look at the TV end of the cable. Does it go straight into the TV, or is there a plug that goes into the TV. If there's a plug, just pull it out, take it along to shop that sells TVs and they'll sell you a new one off the shelf. If the cable goes straight into the TV, the solution is just a tiny bit more involved. First, look at the mains plug to check whether it is moulded on, or rewirable. If moulded on, you will need both a new plug, and some flex. If rewireable, you'll only need the flex. Either way, take the cut-off end to Home Depot or somewhere similar and buy something the same shape and size (thickness of the wires is the important thing here). To fit, carefully take the back off the TV and look at how the existing cord was connected and secured before removing it and putting the new one on in exactly the same way. Don't forget to push the wire through the hole in the case (if there is one) before connecting it up. Once the flex is fitted to the TV, fit the plug to the other end. Safety/reliability tip 1 - while the back is off, try not to touch any electrical or electronic components inside the TV other than the power terminals you're supposed to be working on. Saety tip 2 - when renewing a power cord, wire the new cord to the appliance before fitting the plug to the other end of the cord - amazing how many people have helpfully been plugged into the mains in the middle of a job. A.
