You must know what is the wireless network name (SSID) and wireless security of your wireless access point/router.

On the computer, if you view all the available networks, you should detect the SSID. If you are not detecting your own SSID, you can try changing the wireless channel on router.

If you are not sure how to check the wireless settings, please let me know what is the brand of your wireless access point/router. Also, the operating system of your computer and the brand and model of the wireless card that you are using on the PC so that I can better assist you.

When you set up wireless sync, the Zune software
searches your computer for a wireless profile. Zune will automatically
locate the SSID and security key that your computer uses to connect to the network if:

    1. You’re using Windows Vista.

    2. Your computer is wirelessly connected to the network.

If you’re not using Windows Vista,
your Zune device can scan for available wireless networks and present a
list of the SSIDs it finds. Select the SSID of the network your
    computer is connected to.

You may also manually sync your wireless connection:

    1. Plug your Zune device into your computer.

    2. Sign in to the Zune software and click Settings, Device, Wireless Sync.

    3. Click Set Up Wireless Sync, Show Advanced Settings.

    4. Type the SSID of your wireless network in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) field.

    5. Select your network type.

    6. Click Save Settings.
    I hope this helps!

more information is needed to answer your problem.

Is this a laptop? Brand and model please? Also do you have a wireless router in the house? Has anything been done to it yet?

Do you know the name of the network you should be connecting to?

How do i connect my wireless printer to the network

Well first off you should have a usb cable that would initially start you off it has to be hooked up via usb first then u can disconnect the usb & use it wireless. U should also have a driver disk & a manual that would help u as well. Also U can go to your computer on desk top & click there & then go to the device manager click on printer or & see if there is a connection from there if not there will be an exclamation point & then u can go to the top of page & click on scan for hardware changes till u see can see the connection if not uninstall and reinstall

The internet wont come up on the xbox, it keeps telling me that my wireless pc is unavailable.

what i do is i hook up my ethernet cord from my laptop to my xbox. i then bridge the connections..

(adapter settings -> ctrl + click on both local area network and wireless area network and then right click on one, click "Bridge Connection")

and that's how i get xbox live, using my laptop as the wireless adapter.

Wont connect to internet

Secure is not there to re-assure you, its telling you the network is password protected & you need the password to connect. The wireless key will appear on the staus screen of your router. Connect using a wire, goto the router status screen & write down the wireless key, try to re-connect wirelessly.

Purchased a HP Photosmart C4750 Wireless, it keeps going offline? Won't Scan wirelessly. O/S - XP.

Set your wireless security to WPA with the cipher set to auto. If you have the cipher set to TKIP, the printer won't stay connected.

Even if you set the printer to use TKIP and the router to use TKIP, it won't hook up, and if it does, it won't stay connected. I have tried telling HP about this issue, but so far, just canned responses to my emails

Old xbox 360 & netgear are fine. but i cant get new xbox 360 to hook up to netgear. after i put the pass code in it still wont hook it up(online). it has full bars . its wireless. what should i do?

Please follow the steps on a computer connected to the router so as to check the network key:

1. Open the browser(Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2. Access the router usually else try
3. Login to the router with the Username as admin and password as password (unless you have changed it).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Check if 'WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)' or 'WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)' is selected under 'Security Options'.
6. If WPA-PSK is selected, copy the code entered in the passphrase.
7. If WEP is selected, copy the code entered in the key that has been checked.

This is the code required for connecting the wireless computer to the routers' wireless network.

In some cases, for security reasons the passphrase might show as asterisks. In this case type a new password and click apply. You will then have to use the same password for all the wireless devices connecting to the network.

now scan for the wireless network on the XBOX and connect to the wireless network.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

You can't. For wireless connection on the PS3 you need to have a wireless router hooked up to your modem. Once you have your wireless network hooked up with your PC. You can give your PS3 access and the PS3 will scan for any available wireless networks. Google will help you more if you need more detail on how to set up your PS3 wirelessly.

Hooking up my gaming router

There is a 90 % possibility that the wireless settings on the gaming adapter and the router are not the same. Try to reconfigure this again. Remember that the gaming adapter's wireless settings needs to synchronize with that of the router to make the gaming adpater works. Call netgear and verify the settings on your wireless connection and reverify the settings you have on the adapter. For manual instructions, see user guide at
