Had to reinstall windows xp..says no audio found and no sound card

    Can you please let me know the motherboard chipset version? Without that, it's not possible to help you. You can also let me know the motherboard version and type.

Go to the sound card manufacturer web site ... and get the drivers you need to run under XP.

After a reinstall of xp, i found the missing drivers from the appropriate site but the audio is not working even though all drivers appear complete


Hello cf...There is a Service that runs on XP called "Windows Audio", after reinstall this is likely set to start Manually... Setup this to start Automatically ..Make sure the audio device you are useing is set as your default device.....reboot and you should have audio.

Re-Install the drivers from the system disk that came with your computer. If no disk, go to the website and download the drivers for your model computer.

I formatted my hard drive and reinstall windows xp but no sound comes from speakers I tried to install audio drivers from the motherboard CD "foxconn" but PCI driver can not be installed what should i do?
