IN SONY HANDY CAM HDD XR150 - LCD SCREEN THE SOME COLOR LINES ARE DISPLAYING INSTEAD OF PICTURE . THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AFTER REMOVING THE HANDY CAM FROM THE TV SET AS PLACED IT OVER 30MIN.

You need a new sony display flex cable installed in your camera.. it is a rather simple procedure.. dont let anyone tell you it is going to cost 300-500.00 to fix. the cable or flex that makes the display viewable is called a LCD display Flex. If you don't get any image on your display, the image has lines, display has no backlight or anything like that, replacing this flex cable should fix the problem.
you can buy the flex cable on ebay for less than 30.00 and the fix is rather simple.. the display has the flex cable on the back side and there are 3 screws that holds the display on the camera body. when you take them out of the camera using a PH00 small screw driver, you can then take the flex cable out of the display and easily replace.. it doesnt take rocket science to take these out and replace them.. good luck.. remember... you can buy the flex cable that makes the display viewable and then when it is replaced you will then be back in business with your camera.. good day....David...Mt Holly, NC

There might be a damage on the Flex Cable of your phone already. The best thing that you can do is to bring your phone to the nearest service center and let them replace it. It is delicate on your part to change the Flex cable on your own as it requires an expert to replace that. Flex cable migt be costly. But, it will fix your phones problem.

5/\ CA This text was in a message that a friend opened and then its Sony Ericsson W760i has a black screen. Maybe it was dropped? Maybe it is the flex cable? Or a virus? Any ideas?

Hello,

there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

Take care.

My MOTORAZR v9m's phone's screen went blue and whenever I open it up it stays blue. The outside screen is fine, its just the inside. I read that it had something to do with the flex cable. Is that right?...

When i turn on my phone it stays on a white screen, is there any way I can fix this myself without having to ship it out?

Hello

The problem is from the flex which is what sends message from the motherboard of the phone to the screen,it is found in all flip and slide phones

The flex of your phone is either weak or has changed position

What you should do is to open your phone you will see a cable connecting the screen to the panel of the phone, that is the flex.

Remove this cable and fix it back properly you will hear a click sound.

Close the phone and put it on,if the screen does not come up that means the flex is weak and it should be changed

If you cant do this yourself a repairer is recommended

cheers

for the flex cable just search in ebay sellers. goodluck!

Volume buttons won't work, camera button wont work, and speakerphonew button wont work. Happened out of nowhere. Cannot lower/raise volume on side of phone, only vibrate works.

Hello.
Welcome to Fixya's Community.
These problems HAve been related to a damaged flex cable.

This is the cable which in the U700 connect the lower part of the phone to the lcd part (with the screen, speaker, camera and touchscreen buttons). All the data such as screen images, camera pictures, speaker sounds pass through this cable from the main board which is located in the lower part of the phone.

Unfortunately, each time one opens the phone, the cable slides between the two part of the phone. In the long term, as the cable is thin and soft and this movement causes frictions between the cable and the parts, the cable consumes itself. the damage of the cable could results in weird effects on the phone.

In order to fix that you need to replace that part.
its easy.
just take the phone apart and locate the flex cable and replace it.
believe me you can do it yourself.
  • The Flex cable of your phone cost 3 $
  • A phone repair shop will fix that for 25 $

see if you can find it on eBay.
remember its SCH-U700 Not SGH-U700 there is a big difference.

Good Luck

Flex cable

It's fairly simple to replace a flex cable if that's the culprit. This is a flex cable: http://cnn.cn/shop/motorola-razr-keyboard-flex-cable-p-300.html It's got adhesive on it so if you plan on repairing yours, you need to peal your old one off. That's really no big deal, the thing you REALLY need to worry about is damaging your keypad when removing it from your housing. You might want to order a new one just incase for that very reason. Be aware that unlike the V3c's flex cable which is a separate cable that connects to the main board to go up to the upper part of the phone, the V3's keyboard flex has its cable attached, which means you must open the top portion of your phone as well. Opening the bottom part of the phone is simple. Opening the top part is where things get slightly tricky, if you're not careful you could really damage your phone.
