I dont know what to do to my Ipod on itunes all it keeps saying is connect to itunes what do i do

Is the Ipod on when you connect it? If so, reset it and connect it again. If that doesn't work, check that the cord you are using isn't broken or your Ipod's jack isn't messed up. If it still doesn't work try a different usb slot on your computer.

I have a Dimension c521 desktop Dell computer. Where do I plug in speakers in the back?

You need to look for the Audio-OUT 3.5mm jack on the rear of your computer chassis. It is usually colour coded green. If need be look at the rear out-puts, some-times there are small pictures indicating either Audio out.

Take care!

After moving and resetting up my computer at my new address my Bose Companion 2 speakers do not work throough my computer. They do however, work plugged into my iphone

make sure that you are plugging into the correct socket for the speakers, if they are colour coded then use the green one, then check the volume properties on your computer to make sure the volume is turned up and that the sound isn't muted.

I think I might have my speakers hooked up to my computer wrong. I get no sound. Can you give me instructions on how to hook them up?

If you can get around to the back of your PC they should be colour coded, green to green (speakers) pink to pink (mic) etc,

If they are not colour coded, play something and then get back there and move the port one by one until you hear it playing. You will definitely find the mic port easily as it should have a image of a mic stamped onto the metal by the port, its the speakers that are a bit harder to work out from the images
Let us know how you get on :)

Speakers don't work.

Look at the rear of the computer.
There will be different coloured jack plug sockets.
The speaker out is green and the mic. in is pink.
There may be other colours, these are for multi speaker (3.1 5.1 +) setups.
Your manual should give you a diagram

The EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter software seems to have caused a conflict in the audio codec. I can hear the music on vinyl as it records, but now I can't hear iTunes or web sounds. All my settings for volume...

It is probably too late to help you, but others might have this problem and we solved the issue by disabling and enabling.
Click on windows button (bottom left hand corner), control panel - sound - Playback tab
You will find that there are a number of different speaker setups in that area. One set will have the light meter moving, but there won't be sound from your speakers. This is because the modern computer is much more like an amp and has the ability to have different speaker combinations and settings. You only use one speaker set-up.
- double click on a speaker option, advanced tab, and test. If there is no sound, then your speakers aren't connected to that port. Move to the next one.
- Once you find the correct speaker setup for your system, then disable the previous setup and ensure this one is enabled. Once the meter bar lights up for the right speaker combo, all sound will work as expected on your computer.

The modern computer is much like a stereo amp now, and you have to tell it which set to use. (For some reason it works well enough, until you start adding stereo components onto your system.)

Wiring colours

Not sure of your setup re hedunit.
the plug from the old sterio should have the following:
Black- Earth
Red - ignition (only supplies 12v when key is in the ACC position.
Yellow green (12v all the time) even if key is in the off position)
you can check the speakers by using a 9v battery and QUICKLEY toutching the wires on the terminals to distinguish what two wires run to what speaker.
Then use the same sequance for wiring the headunit making sure thar all the solid colour wires are used as the positave connection for the individual speaker wires.
