Just bought this HP C5580 All in One, Copy, Scan, Print AND a new Dell XPS. Same issue, fresh out of the box the scan portion will not work for some reason. My HP says, initiate from the PC, problem is, there is no where to initiate it from. The provided software only helps with photos, no scanning stuff to be found, Reinstalled still no good. WTF?

Me too. What I just did, was open up word and then pressed scan. That worked, so maybe open the place you want the scanned item to go to and it will go there. You can tell I'm not a techie.

My computer crashed and so I bought new one. Have downloaded Samsung SF-555SP program and now it prints but I can't find any icons to make it scan. Thanks; Marvin ...

Scanning will work as separate plug in, when you request to acquire image from scanner from a standard image editor it will bring the task. Would you mind to provide your operating system and the programs that you are using for image editing so I can provide steps to scan.

Kodak easyshare m360 says memory full after 3 photos i just bought the camera, what i shell do < shell i buy memory card or usb for it ?

You need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
  • Menu
  • Cam settings
  • Chose AUTO or SD card option
  • Press OK to SD card
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Once you have set the settings to save onto the SD card directly you might like to transferre your existing pictures from the internal memory onto the SD card:

    Scanning to computer

I had the same problem until I set up the various choices using the HP software on the computer. It then saves Scan to Computer as "x" file (your choice). Save your settings in the HP Solutions Setup Center. Then, when you check your printer, they will all be there as choices when you select Scan button.
