Very difficult to start, once started it runs for a while, but when turned off (for more line, gas, etc) it will not start again for hours.

From your description you can be fairly certain it is an electronic problem.

I had a similar problem once with my Honda CX500. I found the connections to the ignition module had gone green and a good clean up restored normal running.

Why it has trouble starting the first time every day, but works fine later, and runs good

If it only gives trouble after standing unused for several hours, I would suspect the gas lines, possibly. After sitting for several hours, if your gas lines are already gunked up, then it's difficult to get the fuel to the engine after sitting for several hours. Once you use it, and warm it up, then it's not as difficult getting fuel through gunked up lines. Just a possibility.

Have a1998 astro van that wont start until I spray starting fluid in the throttle body, then starts up and runs fine until about two hours later I go to start it back up and it wont start again.PLEASE HELP...

IM SURE YOUR PROBLEM IS ABOUT GAS,COUSE IF IT START WHEN YOU SPRAY START FLUID IT MEAN THERE NO GAS AT ALL,SO WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY SWITCH FORWARD THE SENDING UNIT HAVE SEND GAS TO THE CAR TO START,ITS NOT DOING IT BUT ONCE IT START WITH THE FLUID IT KEEP SENDING GAS , FIRST TAKE THE GAS LINE OUT BY THE ENGINE THEN TURN THE CAR SWITCH TO ON POSITION LIKE TRYING TO START THE CAR BUT DO NOT ALLOW TO DO SO,IS JUST LIKE MAKE THE CAR CRANCK TO SEE IF WHEN YOU TURN THE SWITCH THE SENDING UNIT ITS WORKING IF WHEN YOU DO THAT NO GAS COMING OUT OF THE GAS LINE ,SENDING UNIT IS NOT GOOD ,HAVE TO CHANGE IT,IF IT WORK PROCEED TO THE UNIT FALLOW THE GAS LINE

91 acclaim v6. starts and runs good, but once its been running for awhile (hour or so), and i turn it off, it doesnt want to start back up, or does and dies. wait 2 hours and it starts right up. recently...

Sounds like either you have a clogged fuel line and or clogged fuel filter or the fuel pump is failing. What happens when the vehicle runs the fuel pump heats up, as it heats up it produces less and less fuel for your car. Eventually ti stops working until its cool again on faulty pumps. Given the age of your vehicle I would say you need to replace both pump and filter.

Can't start brisggs & Stratton 21in mower. I

Get some GUMOUT carburator cleaner GAS ADDITIVE. Put about 1/2 TEASPOON in the gas tank and about 1 tablespoon per gallon into your spare gas. The float pin is probably sticking from winter non-use. This will free it ip.

You can also remove the bowl from the carburator and spray everything to immediately dissolve the varnish. Be careful not to lose the pin spring.
