my Maxtor Sata 160GB HD started clicking and then stopped booting up all together. I bought a Western Digital Caviar 16 MB cache 500GB SATA II HDD. When I try to boot up from the Windows XP64 CD to do a fresh install I get the BSOD. Someone told me I need to get the Sata drivers for this motherboard and install them under the F6 "install 3rd party plugins" section. The problem is I dont have that disk and I couldn't find any such drivers on the web.
Any Suggestions?

Can't seem to install WinXP. Once I get a boot from the XP CD (really hard case) it will start the install, but the exact same BSOD comes up, and the install fails. Very frustrating.

Can you see the HDD in the BIOS? This particular board is new enough to where you shouldn't need to load separate drivers for the installation..
What blue screen are you getting? Can you post the STOP codes?

it's a bit out of focus but should be ledgible. I don't think it's seeing it in the BIOS either. I will confirm tonight when I get home from work.
