Where are the fuses for the Sears Kenmore stove to elements located on Model C880 675080L0

Most likely no fuses. Either the element or the switch that turns it on is bad. If lighat comes on when you turn on burner the switch is probably ok and the burner went bad.

I have a Jenn-Air JES9900 range and the right front burner is not working but the hot indicator light remains on. Is this just a switch that needs to be replaced?

make this test and fix it. God bless you

Surface Element Switch

If the surface element won't work, and there is another element of the same size on the stove, try switching the elements. If it still won't work, the surface element switch is probably defective. The surface element switch can't be tested or repaired, it will have to be replaced.

Surface Element Board

If a surface element won't work the surface element board might be defective. Each burner is switched on and off with the help of a relay on the surface element board. If one or more relays has failed the surface element won't work. If two or more burners fail at the same time, this is likely the problem. If only one surface element won't work and the element itself checks out to be good, the surface element board might be defective.

Coil Surface Element

If the surface element won't work, the coil surface element might be burned out. Most coil surface elements can be pulled out of their socket and checked with an Ohm meter for continuity. If the surface element won't work, check to see if there is any visible damage to the coils. Also, check to be sure the element is pushed all the way into the socket.

Radiant Surface Element

The most common cause when the surface element won't work is the radiant surface element itself. The radiant surface element - or heating element - can burn out similar to a light bulb. If the surface element won't work and it doesn't have continuity, it will need to be replaced. The radiant surface element is not repairable.

Solid Surface Element

If the surface element won't work, and the stove has the solid surface element type of heat, it's likely that the solid surface element itself has burned out. The solid surface element works very similarly to other surface elements - inside there is a heating element that glows when electricity is applied to it. As it gets hotter, the heat is transferred to the solid surface element

Element Receptacle and Wire Kit

If a surface element won't work, there may be a problem in the element receptacle. The surface element plugs onto a terminal block type receptacle. Over time the terminals in the receptacle can have a bad connection and overheat. Look at the receptacle contacts with a flashlight. If the terminals look burnt you will need to replace the element receptacle. also make sure the element prongs are clean and not burnt. If the prongs are burnt bad the element will need to be replaced also.

Loose or Burnt Wire Connection

If surface element won't work, there might be a burnt wire supplying power to the surface element. Sometimes the wire supplying power to the element burns out right near the element itself. Check for this by just looking at the wires leading to the element. If they're burned out it is usually easy to spot.

Incoming Power Problem

Although not as common, if the surface element won't work it is possible that the appliance is not receiving proper voltage. Electric ranges require 220 volts of alternating current. If for some reason the appliance is receiving significantly less, the surface element won't work. Check for proper voltage using a volt meter at the socket where the appliance plugs in.

My Kenmore #79047153401 baking function is not working yet the broiler is functional as well as the warming drawer.

i looked up your model number and it comes up as a duel fuel, gas on top and electric in the stove,i would first unplug it and read out the bake element, check it for continuity, you have to pull off at least one of the wires, set the meter to say 20k,touch the leads together and make sure your meter reads it,then touch the meter leads to both sides of the element,if it stays on 1 the element is bad,if you get any other reading other than 1 then the element is good.if it's good now you have to check to see if you're getting 240 volts to the element, this will be easier if you pull out the stove and remove the back panel and you can check it this way because you have to do this with power going to the stove,if you are getting 240 volts to the element you could have a broken wire or a bad board but most likely it will be the element.also if i'm wrong and this has an ignitor check that out with a meter but like i say this comes up with electric in the stove and gas on top.the bake element part number is 318255401 and it's around 95 dollars, this is on the sears site, hope this helps,http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-elite-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-79047153401/0583/0122008/R0309147/00003?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=79047153401 copy and paste for the sears parts site.

One of the elements on my stove stopped working. Now all 4 of them have stopped working. Certain buttons on the stove work but the clock, ON button, stove functions, and element buttons are not working. ...

You do not list a model and serial number, but I suspect your model is one which needs to have the oven vent and keypanel changed. Some models had an oven vent which was too large, which caused vapor from the oven to get into the key panel, resulting in your problem, and also some discoloration of the backsplash on the left hand side. The replacement vent has a narrower opening, which forces the vapor further out away from the keypanel.

What to do if one of the eyes on my stove does not work.

Hello Sajrhill, If one of your sensor eye cooking elements isn't working, you'll have to get a new replacement in order to utilize the features of your stove.

Without a brand and model number, I can't provide you with the part number for obtaining a replacement. But you can simply go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter in your full model number of your stove and get a complete line drawing and parts list for your stove and the correct replacement element.

Just remember to turn the power off to your stove before replacing the element. Removing the element is straightforward and only requires basis hand tools to accomplish, saving yourself the cost of a service tech and house call by doing the replacement yourself.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

While baking my wife noticed sparks coming out of the baking element or coil. can we continue to use the stove top or should we leave it unplugged.also how much does it cost to replace the element

It sounds like the element shorted out and needs replacement. I would not continue to use the oven, although it should be ok to use the stove.

It's difficult to say what a new element plus installation will be, but you can call around and get estimates. Have the model number, type and serial number available if possible before you call.

Broken glass top for my gas stove

You can buy just the glass for your glasstop stove. I too need to replace my glass...I have a whilpool electric glasstop. Its not cheap...may just buy new stove. I priced just the glass for my whilpool at the cheapest I can find for $320.00. Thats a lot. Mind you its not the elements under the glass..its just the glass! So...idk bout you, but a whole new stove might be my best option. If you want to price the glass for your model just keyword search your number and brand of stove and type replacement glass. GOODLUCK! :)
