Connect the device to your computer. Click MY COMPUTER on your desktop. You should see the device in the window that opens. Click on it. It should appear as GPX Device or the like. Double click on that, then Portable Memory will appear, double click, then double click the Music folder. The window will now display all the music files on your device. Choose which ones you no longer want and hit the delete button on your keyboard.

How to delete songs???

There are two ways you can add songs to this player. The trick is you can only remove them again by the same method, and there could theoretically be songs added by both methods on the player. Two different USB modes. Read up on it.

Deleting songs.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC
folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

Deleting downloaded songs

The users guide is on the CD that came with it, otherwise you can download it from here;

As for deleting the pre-loaded songs, you can manually delete them from the device while its connected to the PC. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder then just right click and delete on the items you do not want.

Best of Luck.

Problem with deleting music

It might have reformatted the songs by accident. Just try to redounload the songs you want and dont download the ones that you wanted to delete in the first place. This happens a lot with Sandisk e250 mP3 players
