Question about Metra Tsunami 1.2 Farad Capacitor

Open Question

Gremlin battery drain,,,

Tsunami pp9912um cap, bazooka bh1500 amp, Mtx sledgehammer subs (12's).
Through elimination, it seems the cap seems to be constant draining my battery while driving. Alternator(benched good),battery, alt fuse all changed/new. Battery is optima yellow top(3 years old/benched good) and I bought another brand new battery in Dec. as well b/c I thought the yellow top had gone bad. Cap was installed in 07 along with subs and amp by Circuit City and has not been a problem up until about 6 months ago when the battery drain started.

I have a 1200 watt amp and 2 12 in pioneer champions and it keeps killing my battery how do I hook up this capasitor I just bought?

first make sure your power wire is directly hooked to the battery, {make sure ure in line fuse is pulled} power wire that goes to positive of power cap , ground wire is grounded to chasis, now attach aditional power wire to amp and aditonal grond to amp . make sure all conections are solid and tight { also make sure inside of power cap is tight as well after long periods of time the insides loosen } i have 2 -1,000 watt sony xploid amps and 2- 1,200 watt sony expoid subs and they pound hard . i probley should have 2-1.2 farrid caps for what i have but it seems that its holding its own

MTX 12'' sub noise

Sounds like your sub is overextending itself, and possibly losing contact at the voice coil. Overextending will make a weird rattling sound, losing contact at the voice coil will make a popping sound.

I'm having problems getting full power to my sub.

when bridgeing an amplifier it always sees half of whatever load you have on it, so if you have a 4ohm speaker when it is bridged the amp will see 2ohms, so yes you can bridge the 4 ohm speaker

MTX 5500 SLEDGEHAMMER 12" ENCLOSURE

According to MTX they need 1.25 cubic ft per sub sealed and 2 cubic feet vented. Most pre-fab boxes will work for those subs.

ELA 500.I

While I don't have any first-hand experience with either Bazooka amps or Memphis subs, this review pretty much says what I initial thoughts were. The amp will do the job without much fuss, so it mainly depends on whether you can get it for a good price.
BUT........
There could be a issue with your sub. According to Memphis, your sub (assuming it's the single voice coil version) is only good for about 250W RMS (let's ignore peak power for now). The ELA500.1, on the other hand, puts out 375W RMS at 4 ohms. You could very easily overpower your sub with that amp.

Mtx 895 trouble

check your fuse up front first. some amps will turn the light on with only the remote wire (the 12 volt signal from the head unit). That may be your issue. If not you need to check your signal input. try hooking the rca's to a diffrent source, i.e. other radio your tv anything with Rca out put. If still you get nothing then pull your subs out and take a regular 9 volt battery and touch the leads to the positive and negative of the sub. Just for a moment though if the subs move when they come in contact with the charge from the battery then my last suggestion would be to take it to a store where you can have an authorized tech check out the equiptment. Good luck
