I need a FREE radio code for a 1999 eclipse... dont have 30 dollars to pay for a radio code that shouldnt even be there in the first place... serial number is 8Z158320D.... the other number is MR255T9... REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE IT...;)

NO- every radio has it's own unique code to prevent theft. serial numbers will allow you to get a code from the net or take the car to a dealer and see if the code has been recorded
take the radio out and write down the serial number reistall the radio and take the car to a mitsubishi dealer and they will give you the code after showing them the serial number and that you are the registered owner of the diamante. i have done this many times even with honda. they might want to charge you for the code but dont pay beacuse they usually do this service for free.
The code should have been on a card that came with the car. Check in the manual to see if the card is placed inside of it and check aroudn your glovebox. If you can't find the card, remove the trim from aroudn your radio and write down the serial and model number. call up a mitsubishi dealer and tell them you lost your code, but have your serial number from the radio. they will be able to tell you the code for free. if they refuse, call another dealership.
shouldnt have to pay notify a chevy dealer in person for code most dealers wont deal with a code problem over phone they dont charge for the code due to the fact that a dead battery can also lock out the radio system into the anti-theft mode

Had a few problems with my car and removed the battery. So I too needed the code. By using the numbers you assign to each radio station is how I entered the code then just hit am/fm. The code I used for my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse is 1571. Good Luck,
look in your glove box in the owners manual under the radio section. If not you can go to radio-code.com and pay for it or you can call your local dealer and give them the vin/serial number and they can give it to you
