Question about Blaupunkt Car Audio & Video
I am drivng A Citroen C5 from 2006. Build in I have the Blaupunkt Autoradio type RD4 X3 N1 KML VA. On the Rear there are two line in connections AUX1 and AUX2. AUX1 is connected to the build in Bluetooth set. AUX2 I want to connect to the lineout of an MP3 player. (actually my tomtom 910GO unit including MP3 facilities) I bought the special connecting MP3 kabel set (9706AG) through my Citroen dealer and tried to connect it according the specifications. With the dealer we tried to enable AUX2 and set it to classic as instructed, but when programmed the software refused to store the information, while it does work for AUX1 line input. So it seems this radio model does not support AUX2 connections. There is however a CD changer connection. I am looking for a way how to connect my line in audio to the CD connector. Does anyone have an overview/connection manual which describes the CD connector pinout? Which pins are for the audio? can this be used without connecting the complete CD changer unit? your help is greatly appreciated! regards, H.P.S. van Lohuizen.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The trim panel that surrounds the radio and contains the climate controls and possibly 1 or 2 other switches needs to be removed. Apply gentle, even pressure on the edges and gradually move to the other edges, and the clips should pop out.
I would advise against unplugging the climate controls or radio however other switches can be unplugged safely.
Once the panel with the climate controls is removed there should be 4 phillips head screws holding the radio in place; remove those and you should be golden.

I have the same HU and the same processor as you. First I only used the chinch cables to the processor, and from the changer.
The improvements you make; your headunit DAC and your chancher DAC wil not be used anymore. The differens; normal with a cd you convert a digitalsignal into analoge, in the HU or changer, and then you make it digital again in the processor, en put the signal analoge into your amp.
The advantage is; the processor uses the famous Burr Brown DACs and that is know by its good sound processing.
