Question about Sony PlayStation® 3 (80GB) Console
Yes this is the red/yellow light and you will need to get it fixed, it is not a power surge unfortunately!
It is the motherboard taking too much heat!
You can fix it at home with a top guide or send it in.

Tips for a great answer:
Oct 22, 2013 | Newpoint (200897) (DHN200897) UPS System
Power off the unit using the toggle
switch on the back. Hold down the 'eject' button and turn the toggle
switch back from off to on. This will run a fan test and should eject
your disc. Remember, this will only work on the 20, 40g models. Not
the backwards compatible units with the 4 usb port holes and the
memory card slots.
