I have Hussmaan HGL-2-BS. It runs for a while and starts to freeze even though the thermostat is set at above zero degrees. What is the solution

Sounds to me the thermostat will need to be replaced. If the control is electronic it may be related to a defective thermistor sensor telling the electronic control the wrong temperature.

What damage could happen if the water of a dishwasher was turned off but used disherwasher for a week

If the appliance is correct any defect wouldn't have happened regardless of whether it is an electro-mechanical or new generation of electronic appliance. Some electronic models sometimes need to clear the memory error "Doesn't take water."

My yamaha does'nt turn on it just blinks on then turns off right away

You have a power audio amplifier problem.The blinking is an error code,common on latest TV,audio/video and all electronic appliances. The one that you have is your Audio Power amp is defective,it needs replacement of main Audio Power IC,do check the caps too.

How do I hook up an old A/V Receiver to TV when only audio out is headphone jack.

You can find a cable at your local hardware or electronics store that will solve that in one step. It has either a mini din or full sized headphone plug on one end and a pair of red and white RCA type plugs on other end. It can be really fun to have your TV audio output through your old, tough receiver. Good luck:)

I have power going to the amp in my car but it is not puting anything out like it's not on?

Hi,

If it is a new installation, it is possible that the trigger wire has not been installed or is not getting its trigger from the head unit. The trigger wire is used to turn on the unit aside from the B+12 and the ground wire. It may also be helpful to double check tight connections of the power wires.

If the unit has been in operation before and just quit recently, then it is possible for the unit to have a defect such as a blown fuse or an internal problem with its electronics. This of course would require that you be familiar with electronics circuitry and components, the use of a DVM and a soldering iron. Should a DIY be not to your liking, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

MY CAR AUDIO WONT PLAY CD

Hi,

Most CD players that would not play a disc even with a known good disc inside signifies that the laser eye/lens is not reading the disc. This could probably be attributed to:
1. dirty, damaged, inverted, blank, un-finalized burned CDs
2. defective, weak, dirty/dusty burned-out laser eye/lens;
3. dirty, dried up lubrication of the slider shafting (where the laser eye's carriage moves) or some other components; and/or
4. dirty, dried up lubrication, defective spindle motor.

A few things you can try:
1. Use a CD cleaner (readily available from most computer shops);
2. use a can of compressed air and blow through the inside of the loaded disc area;
3. gently tap on the top cover where you estimate the reading/laser eye/lens would be;
4. gently press on the tray door (if it's got one) once the disc is loaded;
5. relube, clean as necessary but that would require pulling the unit out of the dash.

Should this not be corrective, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional such as those in a Service Center. Alternately, your friendly neighborhood electronic shop should do just fine.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kindest regards.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Motorola gm300

Hi,

If you are referring to the receive audio, possibly the reason it is soft/weak are:
1. defective internal speaker - try using an external speaker;
2. volume control - try rotating back & forth till you get satisfactory level. In some cases, you may need to clean the inside of the volume control with an electronic contact cleaner. At worst is that it has to be replaced;
3. defective amplifier - between the volume control and the speaker is the audio amplifier. This is a single op-amp IC U501 (TDA1519A); and/or
4. muting - which is a bit complicated. This is triggered either by the squelch or by the CTCSS tone decoder. You may have partial/false muting. You need to check Q501 (MMBT3904) and its associated circuitry.

Other than #1, most fix would require opening the unit and familiarity with electronic circuitry & components, use of a DVM and soldering iron. Perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified communication technician.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
