Hose not sucking at all

Depending on what vacuum you have there is likely a clog or restriction in the hose or one of the suction tubes leading to the hose.

Dirt Devil Dual Cyclone - low suction, can't find clog, trying to take apart

Hi There
After the extensive checks you have carried out. May I respectfully suggest you check all your air filters, as a 'clogged up ' filter will produce the same kind of symptons as a blocked pipe. There is a very strong possibility that a filter on the machine is clogged and that's what is casing your problem

Clogged

If you can find a way to reach the clog you may be able to remove it without tearing it apart. I use a flexible tool that comes from the auto parts store. It's made to reach down into tight spaces to retrieve a dropped part or nut. When you push the. Button on the handle it pushes little tines out the other end which I use. To grab the restriction to pull it out.

My vaccum is not sucking up barely anything and the cup is empty

In spite of it's advertising, it may actually be a clogged air passage. Remove the debris cup and reach into the air passage with a hooked wire to pick out any material. Do the same from the under side of the machine. The usual point of clog is where the upright and base components bend--there is a flexible hose there that tends to catch things large or sharp. Make sure the air exit filter is not plugged. Good luck!

Clog in vaccuum

By Z, I think you mean it uses Z bags. There should be a screw and a nut ay the bottom of the handle asm. Take it out, then you can pull the handle off of the base asm. Then you can get to the tube and dig out the clog.

Sounds like you have a clog, either in the hose, or the inlet down at the bottom. When there is a clog, the red light will come on and may also shut down to protect the motor.
