Why is my picture color distored color?????????

Your color is distorted because your color wheel is probably going bad. Try resetting all the picture values first. Sometimes they need to go back to normal when the lamp is changed. Lamps only provide white light and have no bearing on colors unless they are very dim. Also check your cables. a loose or bad cable can cause this as well. Lastly make sure your new lamp is made by Osram or Philips. knock offs wont work.

Lost color

It could be the color processor module, could be locked up, or your tuner is going bad. First thing to do is unplug the AC cord, from the the AC outlet for about 40 Minutes and that will reset the color processor. if you still have problems, then bypass the tuner, and go directly to the video input with a DVD player, or Video game player "360 x box" or anything that you can hook up to the video input. Make sure to put your TV in Video mode, if you have color now , than you have a bad tuner, if it is still black and white, than in is the color module that is bad, or your color control is turn all the way down.

I am only getting black and white. I cannot find a way to adjust the color, MY tv is a sharp model19F- M40 manufactured in 1995. Thanks

The tuner is going bad, try going into the video jack in back and if you still don't have color, then it is the color processor IC or cystal, that is bad.

The fan intermittenly makes a noise and the color changes on the tv

You need to give model #. Most likely you have a dlp tv and its not the fan but the color wheel that spins at very high speed and creates correct colors on your screen. This color wheel makes noise when its bad and colors go off when its running at slower speeds. Its going to fail sooner or later as its going bad now. Its a professional job to change the color wheel and could cost you $280-320 depending on the model. Fan generally never make anoise that is loud enoug to be heard unless its blades are hitting some obstru ction. Color wheels make whining or in worst case screeching noise when bad. check out www.fixurtvs.com for more FAQs. Thanks if you voted for me.

Samsung DLP TV shows green color where color should be black

This could be your video board going bad where your input cables are connected --OR-- the color wheel going bad. Hard to tell without a photo or reference though. Try swapping the cables first... and listen for any winding or whirring sounds.

Color went from normal to tecno pinks and blue polaroid TLA-04641

Turn it off unplug for 1 hour. Turn back on and time how long it takes to go bad, if it does. If the set works, then goes bad after time, you have a temperature sensitive component that's bad or will be 100% bad soon.

Color Fluctuation

You could have either some bad solder connections or capacitors going bad in the chroma or voltage regulator circuits. As long as the picture is great when it's working, it should be worthwhile repairing.
