Transcend usb 4 GB not format

Put your USB drive in your computer and open My Computer. Right-click the USB drive, and then select "Format" from the menu. I would select FAT32 for "File System" and set the "Volume label" to something you like (it'll be the name of the USB drive; enter up to 11 characters (letters and numbers without spaces). You may optionally use "Quick Format" or uncheck it to do a full format. After entering that information, click "Start" and the drive will be formatted. You'll the progress bar advance as it formats. When formatting is complete, you will be prompted.

Drive H

Hi there, Not sure what the problem is but I assume you are trying to format and use this USB Drive.
To Format:
  1. Open the Start Menu and click my Computer
  2. Right-click the H: drive (which I assume is your USB Drive)
  3. Choose Format and then leave default settings and click format.
To Use:
  1. When formatting is done you can use this drive as if it was another folder
  2. Drag and Drop files from your desktop to the H: Drive or Right-click files and Send To --> H:
Hope this helps.

How to format usb?

Formatting a USB Universal Storage Bus is common for those "USV's" or we commonly call it: Universal Storage of Viruses. An example of a USB virus is the problem that we can't access it. We can't see or at least recover our files, and it cause sometimes an error in formatting it. So I will teach you how to format a USB in other way than the GUI one -- the one that uses a right-clicking and Format--
OK let's start!

A. Opening a Command Prompt :
1. Click Start 2. Then click All Programs 3. Point to Accessories 4. And click Command Prompt
OR
1. Open RUN ways of opening it:
Hold the Windows (it is in between the left CTRL and ALT ) picture on your keyboard then press R ,Type cmd ,Press OK, or Click Start then RUN, Type cmd Press OK ,Command Prompt in its default location .B. Type the location of the USB. It is commonly D:, E:,G:, or H:, depend on the number of disk inserted. C. Press Enter on your keyboard. It will go to the location typed. D. Type Format location of the USB: then press Enter on your keyboard.E. Then the format process will begin . I didn't press enter thought my USB have has no problem with it ;D
F. The command prompt will say that the format is done. And that's it! You're done! Congratulations!

does the message stop you from using the iriver?
if it doesn't then there's a format function on the iriver in the settings menu...
if it does then there may be a problem with the usb connection...
either the iriver isnt responding or the computer can't read it!
for the user below there is most likely a format will fix it...
