Question about Pioneer DEH-1900MP CD Player
I HAVE INSTALLED TWO OF THESE SAME UNITS IN MY WIFES 1971 VW AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. THE RADIO LIGHTS UP BUT CANT GET ANY SOUND, WHEN I PUT NEW RADIO IN IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. HOPE YOU CAN HELP OR DO I NEED TO CHANGE RADIO FOR THIS ANTIQUE VW. I HAVE CHECKED THE GROUND AND MADE SURE I HAVE GOOD GROUND. THANKS LEON
Are you using the factory wires in the VW to install the stereo? You may have to re-wire the speakers and power, ground wires, etc. with new wire. In a car that old, the wires are probably in bad condition - especially where you can't see. Hope this helps...
