Well the LCD or TV must have rca..jacks yellow video..red and white is audio..if not u can get a component jack wires for PS2..red.blue..green...video....red and white audio..the TV must have those connections ..for PS2..or get old school cable connected hook ups for PS2..hooks in cable or antenna connecter on TV..UHF connected for ps2
Use the best possible input type that the xbox has to input to the TV and that input will have the best picture. RCA and composite type signals have their limitations.
The problem is your PS2 only outputs 480 resolution video and doesn't upconvert to 1080p. It's going to look awful on 1080p television. Your output and your display have to match in order to achieve quality video results. It will look fine on a 480 resolution set like your old TV's because that's what it was designed for. If you want a better looking game experience on your 1080p TV, upgrade to a PS3.
make sure to set input on the TV is set to s-video. If left on AV2 the picture is black & white. Set to AV2S the picture is in colour.http://www.avforums.com/forums/ps2/692572-ps2-picture-black-white.html here some troubleshooting steps to help find out what maybe wrong
1. try a different tv
2. if you have a friend with a ps2 try borrowing their cable to make sure its not the cable.
3. try your friends ps2 on your tv.
Verify that you're on the right input on the TV (Video 1, Video 2, Component 1, etc.).
Also verify you didn't plug it in the output jack behind the TV, you need to plug the cables in the Inpout jack.
I have a sony bravia lcd digital color tv. I want to know how to plug in my play station 2? The PS2 has a coaxial cable running from it with a side coaxial connection. Where an how do i connect?
Do you mean a Playstation 2? If so, buy a SCART to component converter (like a SCART plug but with yellow white and red inputs) Put it in one of the SCART sockets and plug in your PS2. Hope that helps...
